The loan is not automatically granted. And it’s not a lottery.
Not all students applied. All students that applied and met all loan requirements got the loan.

Students loan has always been in Nigeria in years past. There was bursary years back. Students loan are also taken in developed economies. It allows access to education irrespective of your social status. If you don't need it others need it. Do you know what the help of monthly stipend of #20k mean to parents.

There's no system that approves all that applied. To confirm whether those that are genuinely qualified got approved you should look at the failure rate.

Failure rate = total applications less number of approvals = applications that failed.

Failure rate = failed applications divided by total applications × 100.

If the failure rate is high then it means that reasonable number of qualified applications were rejected.

I was paying school fees of 50k comfortably without sweat, then u took it to 200k and then give loan to 10% of the students to pay it. The remaining 90% become handicapped and may likely drop out.

We have the resources, it's the politicians that are stealing our money. Look what Malami allegedly stole and to include others. You can't do that abroad because there's a system that checkmate all these forms of corruption.

Rest abeg. not all 90k students applied for loan. The load is meant for students that would have dropped-out if they coudlnt pay tuition fee, due to either being poor or unable to sponsor themselves

More than half of the admitted 80k can pay their fees, so they dont need the loan

Whether you appreciate it or not doesnt matter. It means a lot to those 6k students. You are just one person
