From grandstanding to openly begging? We said it that Tinubu only respects "show of force", just like all bullies. They wanted to betray and discard him but having seen that he's willing and able to burn it all to the ground, they are beginning to backtrack. The reason SRJ is giving is even more shameful. Fubara can't run again. Politics is not morality na dirty game where parties engaging in it are there only for their selfish interests. A godfather cannot invest heavily to protect his interests, and the godson renege ... thinking he has matured. Not in politics! No godfather will take it lightly...I am certain President Tinubu understands this ,.and perfectly so. APC cannot save Gov Fubara. It's not emotions or sentiments...these things doesn't count in politics. It's purely game of interests. Gov Fubara should be allowed to finish this tenure in peace and go home. In all of this it is that weakling Fubara that I blame for handing over our State to one man - Wike. A man who disrespect everyone and carries himself as if he owns the State. Fubara, a sitting governor could not win at least half of the House of Assembly members to his camp even with the financial war chest on his palm. Don't tell me the same old story that he was never a politician. No one is born a politician, it is a skill you aquire by participation. He failed to aquire this necessary skills even after Wike railroaded him to the government house. He should just vacate that seat let someone serious take the mantle of governance in Rivers State. 6 Likes |

This is so much weakness and reinforced suspicion of atrocious acts by Tinubu and his gang. Rivers is now an APC state. Why would Wike, a member of the PDP employed by an APC government, dictate what happens in Rivers state? It means Wike has evidence that woild be so much messy for Tinubu. If we are to use Oyo state political brouhaha during the time of Adedibu/Ladoja as a template..I don't think Fubara will get a second term ticket.My solemn observation but still,it is not healthy for our political climate |

SlavaUkraini:You can see how APC is engaging to resolve issues between wike (PDP) and Fubara (APC, formerly PDP). That is leadership. That is wisdom. Compare to how PDP bungled their chances at resolving the issues just because of their hatred for their fellow PDP man (wike). Wike is a force in Rivers State, and a fierce supporter of the president. But that doesn't mean he won't protect his own interest, just as he is protecting that of the president.
