You want to talk about real life or fantasy? Where was this rule of engagement when the Rape of Berlin was going on by Russian forces on already surrendered Germany? where was this rule of engagement when US was giving it to Afghanistan and Iraq, where was this rule of engagement when Israel vs Gaza was going on, where was this rule of engagement when Hiroshima and Nagasaki were getting hits back to back

Its only survivors that care about rules of engagement, let rabazamba tell you, the first rule of engagement is staying alive. If you have reason to think your life will be in anger, you are allowed to do anything to save your life. If soldiers tell you the terrible things that happen in warfront that human do to remain alive and get home you will leave that movie fantasy
Rules of Engagement una! cheesy cheesy cheesy rules of engagement allow that you see a fine girl bra less in her chador with her breasts slapping against each other, you tell yourself surely this one means no harm, and boom! She detonates herself killing you and several others...the rules state that you must ascertain her intentions before taking any action, but all of us on this thread know that once bitten twice shy you will pump anybody that comes close to you with bullets before asking anything and thats because it's wartime. ICE vs it's own legal citizens is not war, I expected a peaceful protest which more often than not seems to work for the Yanks, but it turns out that when push comes to shove, saner climes are never quite fully sane

I used the example of you spitting on Mike Tyson too, That is not war and he should be commensurate and reply with spitting back?
If you spit on Tyson and that one retaliates with heavy blows that send you to comatose state with permanent disability...who would be arrested and charged for assault?

Is it the spitting that would take center stage?

raumdeuter:
I agree the man posed no threat on the officers life but when you regularly attack people who are attacked on a daily who are edgy and you have 100 reasons to fear for their lives everyday

Dont you think at some point something might go wrong? Its logic
I would never be in support of confrontations with Law enforcement agents that are armed because in scenarios like this, even if the ICE officer is sentenced to death, it wouldnt bring back the deceased.

However, the barbaric execution of a civilian who posed no threat to a law enforcement agent carrying a weapon that was bought with tax payers money - this right here is the crux of the matter!!

No sir, now tell me what is the correlation between the genocide carried out by SS men like Himmler, Heydrich and Goth to this ICE matter that has gotten this poor man killed? You can never ever ever eveeeeeerrrrrr!!!! Compare the two scenarios. The kids who were sent to waste their lives in Vietnam are very different from the kids who are trying to prevent ICE agents from deporting alleged illegal immigrants
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Holocaust

The Nazis developed their ideology based on racism and pursuit of "living space", and seized power in early 1933. Meant to force all German Jews to emigrate, regardless of means, the regime passed anti-Jewish laws, encouraged harassment, and orchestrated a nationwide pogrom known as Kristallnacht in November 1938. After Germany's invasion of Poland in September 1939, occupation authorities began to establish ghettos to segregate Jews. Following the June 1941 invasion of the Soviet Union, 1.5 to 2 million Jews were shot by German forces and local collaborators. By early 1942, the Nazis' Final Solution was to murder all Jews in Europe. Victims were deported to extermination camps where those who had survived the trip were killed with poisonous gas, while others were sent to forced labor camps where many died from starvation, abuse, exhaustion, or being used as test subjects in experiments. Property belonging to murdered Jews was redistributed to the German occupiers and other non-Jews. Although the majority of Holocaust victims died in 1942, the killing continued until the end of the war in 1945.
all germans as a people were complicit. it was not just the army/military /leader. and that is what is happening in america today.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-Jewish_laws

Anti-Jewish legislation in pre-war Nazi Germany comprised several laws that segregated the Jews from German society and restricted Jewish people's political, legal and civil rights. Major legislative initiatives included a series of restrictive laws passed in 1933, the Nuremberg Laws of 1935, and a final wave of legislation preceding Germany's entry into World War II and the Holocaust.

Always remember—“Arbeit macht frei"

Here are some photos I took in Auschwitz in 2024. Anytime I need to remember the difference between what’s legal and what’s the right thing to do, I remember these stark buildings.

It is a honest question to ask. Are we on the path of history repeating itself again?

We have an enemy to blame most of the problems on (the cat and dog eaters)

We have special facilities built for their azz (Alligator Alcatraz)

We have the new Stafelschutz.

We’re seeking to snatch buy Lebensraum.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism

Fascism (/ˈfæʃɪzəm/ FASH-iz-əm) is a
far-right,
authoritarian,
and ultranationalist political ideology and movement that rose to prominence in early-20th-century Europe.[1][2][3]
--

Fascism is characterized by
support for a dictatorial leader,
centralized autocracy,
militarism,
forcible suppression of opposition,
belief in a natural social hierarchy,
subordination of individual interests for the perceived interest of the nation or race, and
strong regimentation of society and the economy.[3][4]

Opposed to communism, democracy, liberalism, pluralism, and socialism,[5][6] fascism is at the far-right of the traditional left–right spectrum.[1][6][7]
---
Fascism views forms of violence—including political violence, imperialist violence, and war—as means to national rejuvenation.[10][11] Fascists often advocate for the establishment of a totalitarian one-party state,[12][13] and for a dirigiste economy, which is a market economy in which the state plays a strong directive role through market intervention with the principal goal of achieving national economic self-sufficiency, or "autarky."[14][15] Fascism emphasizes both palingenesis—national rebirth or regeneration—and modernity when it is deemed compatible with national rebirth.[16] In promoting the nation's regeneration, fascists seek to purge it of decadence.[16] Fascism may also centre around an ingroup-outgroup opposition and demonization of "Others" such as various ethnicities, immigrants, nations, races, political opponents of fascist parties, religious groups, and sexual and gender minorities. In the case of Nazism, this involved racial purity and a belief in a master race. Such demonization has motivated fascist regimes to commit massacres, forced sterilizations, deportations, and genocides.[17][18] During World War II, the genocidal and imperialist ambitions of the fascist regimes of the Axis powers resulted in the murder of millions of people.

On the flip side the people who claimed the officer who shot Ashli Babit(who was unarmed) should not be charged are now claiming the officer who shot Renee Good who was armed with a car should be prosecuted

If Ashli Babbit shooter is free, then Renee Good shoter should be free too
Forget the flip side…. Your side defended violent rioters and called an officer a thug for that
But masked men that killed a dude filming are saints

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beer_Hall_Putsch

The Beer Hall Putsch, also known as the Munich Putsch,[1][note 1] was a failed coup d'état by Nazi Party leader Adolf Hitler, General Erich Ludendorff and other Kampfbund leaders in Munich, Bavaria, on 8–9 November 1923, during the period of the Weimar Republic. Inspired by Benito Mussolini's March on Rome, Hitler's goal was to use Munich as a base for a march against Germany's national government in Berlin.

The putsch began on the evening of 8 November, when Hitler and a contingent of approximately six hundred Sturmabteilung (SA) members marched on the beer hall Bürgerbräukeller, where Gustav Ritter von Kahr—the Minister-President of Bavaria who had banned some of Hitler's previous planned gatherings—was delivering a speech. As the SA surrounded the hall, Hitler entered, fired a shot into the ceiling, and claimed that the Bavarian government had been overthrown and that the national revolution had begun. The following day, approximately two thousand Nazis marched on the Feldherrnhalle, in the city centre, but were confronted by a police cordon, which resulted in the deaths of 15 Nazis, four police officers, and one bystander.[2][3] Hitler escaped immediate arrest and was spirited off to safety in the countryside. After two days, he was arrested and charged with treason.[4]

The putsch brought Hitler to the attention of the German nation for the first time and generated front-page headlines in newspapers around the world. His arrest was followed by a 24-day trial, which was widely publicised and gave him a platform to express his nationalist sentiments. Hitler was found guilty of treason and sentenced to five years in Landsberg Prison,[note 2] where he dictated Mein Kampf to fellow prisoners Emil Maurice and Rudolf Hess. On 20 December 1924, having served only nine months, Hitler was released.[5][6] Once released, Hitler redirected his focus towards obtaining power through legal means rather than by revolution or force, and accordingly changed his tactics, further developing Nazi propaganda.[7

Why should we forget the flip side? Is it because it exposes the hypocrisy?

You wanted the Babbit shooter free but the Renee shooter prosecuted any reason why besides hypocrisy

My own position both the Babbit shooter and the Renee shooter should not be prosecuted

Now let's see your own side

You mean from your party… All Jan 6 rioters have been free and the cop called a thug.
A protester filming ice is called an assassin by same people.
The ice masked man that shot Renee could be said to be in a power trip cos he literally stood in front of her car to look for an excuse to shoot.
Cops here are taught safety for themselves and the other party.
We could say Renee should have stayed home but we can also conclude a supposed professional should know how to de-escalate and not find reasons to shoot.
But we’ve all figured out they’re not trained properly and your party is finally coming to their senses.

When its your turn with a vehicle moving towards you try to deescalate

The ICE officer in the line of his job feared for his life and he did what he can to preserve his life and get home in one piece. If Renee also did everything to ensure she got home safe which includes obeying the order to get out, she would be alive today

Like I said, actions have consequences

It's not the figures, it's the terms I don't understand. Maybe if he can use normal plain English to tell me what N-type biracial and the other terms mean, I will understand.
grin grin

It's not "biracial" o. It's "bifacial". Like it has solar cells (those blue/black squares you see on the panels) installed on both faces of the panel, as opposed to one. That way, it can capture more sunlight.

N-type, in plainsman English, is a more energy efficient type of panel than it's counterpart, the P-type.

Pls is it too late to withdraw the hosting rights of the FIFA World cup from USA?

I am embarrassed by the video I just watched of an American journalist asking Heung Min Son if he would help Los Angeles win the world cup in the USA.

This people hosted the world cup in '94, hosted the Women world cup in '99 and '03, and recently hosted the FIFA Club World Cup, yet dem still no sabi as World cup dey be. Maybe they think its like their Super Bow or is it Major League Baseball world series.......

Chief you can't use war scenarios to justify an agency of US government murdering in cold blood its own citizens.

The Nurse's killing is the more gruesome when there were so many ways he could have been restrained.

He wasn't attempting to reach for his side piece (which by US Constitution he has a right to possess).

Many options could have been to disarm him. Cuff him, Tazer him, restrain him, seize his weapon but no shoot him in the back like cowards.

Canada should be rethinking.
Next thing they will say Canada is building weapon of mass destruction or attacking unarmed protesters to just justify military aggression against Canada.

But then this is the same Canada that followed US in all their unprovoked wars in Africa, Europe, Asia and South America preaching democracy to Libya, Iraq, Yemen, Serbia, Kosovo etc. Maybe the chicken is coming home to roast.

"Currently, Alberta separatists are collecting signatures for a petition process that could lead to a referendum on leaving Canada.

The Financial Times has reported they had meetings with US officials, which drew criticism from some Canadian premiers"

It has been solid. It powers my Fridge, Fans, Tv, light bulbs and other basic appliances.

For the fridge, I only use it during the day and turn it off at night. Not because it can't power it but I'm trying to maximise battery life. Two fans stay on throughout the night.

It also comes with 2 year warranty. That gives some rest of mind. Assuming they don't find a way out of honouring it like Oraimo did with my power bank when it got damaged.

What does the bold even mean? "PREMIUM TIMES gathered that the actor was hired to play the role of a propagandist by the alleged coupists who planned to assassinate top government officials".

Which one is propagandist again? I have never heard of the Stanley guy before until this morning. I'm sure most Nigerians have not read or watch anything from him before, so who is he channeling the so called propaganda to?

I just hope the guy is not a victim of circumstance who is unfortunate to have been entangled with the soldiers who planned the coup.
