Nigerian politics is far beyond what you think. Fubara is naughty and did not do his calculations properly before falling out with his successor. I think you didn't follow the happenings in the situations you mentioned.

Obaseki didn't even allowed the swearing-in of the lawmaekrs not loyal to him. They were 14 in numbers. They never got sworn-in ..so how can they legislate. That's political fight I was talking about.

Alia has more than 2/3 of the house loyal to him...at some point...news reported those not loyal couldn't get vehicles and constituency allowances ..while others got. So, he has loyal members of the house of assembly.

Same with Ameachi...he has his loyal house of Assembly members.


It's only Fubara, for the first time, I will see a Governor that cannot control atleast half of the State House of Assembly embarking on a political fight against a politician that has control over the Assembly.

Come'on....Gov Fubara cannot win this kind of fight.

My candid advice to fubara is to let go and engage wike himself,bow for him to have peace of mind and govern ur pple well.if decide to go the other way, except you have the support of federal might,I don't see fubara coming back.make peace with him,do the needful, respect him drop your ego.

How was Obaseki able to get away with that? It was because the courts were not under Oshiomole's armpit. If the courts had but reinstated this 27 lawmakers that defected, maybe you'll be praising Fubara for being a master strategist now.

I am not discussing Nigeria's multifaceted issues.
We are discussing how a governor can fight godfather, Federal might and other political forces.
The first rule is to have the backing of his state assembly. No Governor can succeed without having the figures necessary to decimate the the number required by the constitution to impeach him.
