I rented this single room on November 10th 2025 in a local location. Last two weeks I got a job offer in the town that that will gulp 2k transport everyday from the local location to the New work.
I found a new place near my new working place and notified my landlord that I have gotten a job in a distant location and I need to quit the room so that he can balance me the remaining 9 months or to sublet.
Initially he told me to bring someone when I brought someone he now change his mind that he will be the one to bring new tenants in his compound.
I have packed half of my belongings from the local area to my new please. He now told me that I should have given him 3 months notice that it is according to the law.

I want to ask is is it the law that I should have given him three months notice of quitting his house.
Though he made mention that I should pack and go when he has the money he will transfer to me or when he finds someone to rent it, he will transfer to me back my remaining balance but I am afraid of losing both the tenacy and my remaining balance cuz I don't trust him.

Must I have given him 3 months notice even though the notice I gave him is almost 2 weeks now. Few of my belonging is still in the old house I'm afraid he might not balance me up to my remaining balance. The lawyers please guide me.
