| Visited Nigeria Lately??? by Kanwulia(op): 7:54pm On Jan 27 |
I last visited in 2022, then in December 2025. I just returned and have a lot of mixed feelings. Was searching for previous threads to vent in, but can't find any. The good, the bad and the ugly about Nigeria. Here goes: |

The best part? MY VILLAGE!!!! ![]() Soooooo clean and peaceful. When ever I land Nigeria, I am heading straight to my village in EDO STATE. ![]() Naaaaaa. . . . I don’t do “dirty compounds”! ![]() Good to see my daddy’s grave looking well-maintained after 30 years.

Kanwulia: ![]() It is really dirty for real. Asaba is a local environment, it is just beginning to get on track. With time it'll get better. About investing, don't get deceived by the environment, if you have the cash, invest now. Buy and keep, with time your money would have doubled or tripled. |

Kanwulia:That is why we need most of you guys back, even if it for a short while, we need exposed and sincere people at the key offices. People who have the vision and the know how don't get into the office, they use those offices to compensae some of their boys, people who don't even know how to take care of themselves not to talk of the environment |
| Re: Visited Nigeria Lately??? by Kanwulia(op): 10:27pm On Jan 30 |
rapcy:The reason I am starting with my village. If my country home “ain’t quaint” I cannot in good conscience development anywhere else. ✅ It is going to be tough re-orientating Nigerians. I don’t care what kind of positive ideas you bring, the negative mindset will always frustrate your efforts. If you can’t beat them, join them disease. The only property I will invest in, is my father’s compound.✅ I’d rather deal with villagers, than educated-illiterates!

Kanwulia:I understand you but you'll be surprised how many Nigerians are tired of this loop we've found ourselves. Our great grand parents experienced it, same for our grand parents, parents and now us. The thing is, the good ones are more than the bad ones, but the bad ones are the loudest, so it seem like if you're trying to change the narrative, the bad ones will attack you because they don't know better. I mean, look at countries doing well, they're not different from us, they just implement little little change and over the years, those little changes look really massive. For instance, when you tell people not to litter the roads, they look at you like you're insane, I realised they actually don't know why, because when you try to correct most of them, they feel you're doing over sabi. I like the fact that you're starting with your village, the key is to focus on where you can, you'll be surprised how few people you can correct would make a huge difference much later. Btw, this una house fine and neat oo ![]() |

rapcy:Amen!!! I am doing my part. Yes o! Our village home is well- maintained with 4 apartments and four tenants. The must comply to keeping the compound clean at ALL TIMES. We have round-the-clock caretakers living inside the compound too. We can do video calls ANYTIME to check on things.✅ My job is done. Not interested in politics or economics. Let the Nigerians living in Nigeria save themselves. The last thing I have to do is EMPTY MY BANK ACCOUNTS.🍷 I can’t be paying taxes to kleptocratic lunatics. |

| Re: Visited Nigeria Lately??? by rapcy(m): 3:34pm On Feb 01 |
Kanwulia: ![]() Biko oo, let your job not be done yet oo, we need you guys to keep enlightening the masses. So many people here feel like what they're getting is the maximum they deserve. We need exposed people to keep talking about better things, the country is filled with many lunatics running the affairs of the country, that is why we need more intelligent people at the top. The only way to achieve that is to not give up on the country |
