Many, many people are sleeping peacefully in bed from their own efforts and self help. They are not waiting for any body to pay 'the supreme price' as you say. They have taken their destiny in their own hands, organized their own communal security - and they are better off for it.

This jagged edged emotional blackmail and guilt tripping about Nigerian army people has gone on for far, far too long.

And...nobody has to pick up an army form to prove anything to anybody. We all have our different paths in life and there are some civilian jobs your army people cannot do either.
