NHS called in exorcist after frightened hospice staff reported seeing ghosts

An NHS trust contacted an exorcist after staff reported seeing ghosts, including a “girl in a red dress” at a Norwich hospice.

The site was previously used as a children’s hospital, and after a series of paranormal incidents, staff fear that it may still be home to the spirits that once lived there.

The NHS has reportedly asked for the help of deliverance ministers, or exorcists, to carry out ceremonies using holy oil.

Exorcisms have become recognised in mainstream culture since the popularization of the 1970s hit horror film, The Exorcist, which tells the story of a little girl who is possessed.

The iconic 1970’s horror film The Exorcist brought the concept of possession and exorcisms into the mainstream.

The paranormal incidents occurred at Priscilla Bacon Lodge, located near Colman Hospital, which was previously home to the Jenny Lind Children’s Hospital. It is now used as a hospice by the Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust.

Sources have said there have been concerns about “paranormal incidents” at the hospice, including repeated sightings of a “small child in a red dress”.

They reported a “difficult time” at the site and asked for “some holy oil” from Norwich Cathedral.

The NHS trust reportedly contacted Norwich Cathedral for holy oil to carry out a ceremony at the reportedly haunted hospice.

The chaplain explained that this would be used to conduct a religious service to soothe the fears of staff and patients who believed the site was haunted.

The following week, another email was sent to the Diocese of Norwich, which confirmed they were in “conversation with a member of the deliverance team”.

A “blessing of the building” was then carried out, the trust said, but claims no exorcist ever visited the hospice in person.

The trust also refused to discuss what paranormal activity patients and staff have reported seeing.

After the paranormal incidents were reported, Priscilla Bacon Lodge moved into new premises in 2023.

The former children’s hospital is now no longer in use, despite being briefly converted into a therapy unit.

There are actually 2 different things going on here
Headline says they contacted a pastor
Content says it was an exorcist.

I agree most white may not be as religious as we think, but they believe in the spirit world.

An exorcist and a pastor are not the same.

The story specifically says that the exorcists are from a Church:

They reported a “difficult time” at the site and asked for “some holy oil” from Norwich Cathedral.

The NHS trust reportedly contacted Norwich Cathedral for holy oil to carry out a ceremony at the reportedly haunted hospice.

Of course exorcist can be found in churches. But they are not Pastors. They don't lead a congregation, they are trained specifically to cast our demons.

Na you dey confuse yourself.

A pastor can also be an exorcist.

An exorcist and a pastor are two different persons with different responsibilities.

Stop the misleading headlines.
Re: British Hospital Calls In Pastors To Cast Out Ghost That Was Terrorising Staff by BlackViper(op): 11:25am On Feb 01
Read the actual story before you embarrass yourself. Norwich Cathedral is a church and it is overseen by a bishop and pastors.

The NHS trust reportedly contacted Norwich Cathedral for holy oil to carry out a ceremony at the reportedly haunted hospice.
Sheuns:
An exorcist isn’t necessarily a clergy.

Stop the misleading headlines.

Only Jesus can successfully exorcise a demon from a person with d precision of a surgeon and still leave d person in one piece.
Infact B4 Jesus came, d Jews will kill d person so that d demon will be out stranded looking for another body

No we here in Nigeria are very woke and don’t believe in village people. I just pity the man who thinks Christianity is a joke. Wait until your grace expires you will understand life. Continue your ways or locate the nearest RCCG. Your free will, your choice.
