Do a small banner to advertise your trade and display it at strategic places and you flat pouch.

They are not going to patronize you but it will help communicate something to their psychology.

Tell them Yahoo don't do sign board to advertise their trade

That your aunty encountered something bad upon moving houses doesn't mean everyone would. If you read my comment to the end, you would have noticed that I didn't just suggest that he moves houses but also what to look out for in the prospective new location. If he remains there, chances are that he may fall into problems with the EFCC. Even when he has proven his innocence, the trauma might do him dirty.

All of you are giving him suggestions to make him even look more guilty than trying to prove something to people that doesn't deserve his explanation in the first place.
See my brother, if you are perfectly sure of what you do for a living, don't run from anyone of them, first go straight to your landlord if he or she is accessible, notify him or her that you have lodged a mandatory report to your nearest police station regarding suspicion of discriminatory acts towards your person in relations with your work, and as a result you feel they may set you up or otherwise give unscrupulous reports about you and where by tarnishing your image and undermining your own safety as a person. So you need an undertaken from them the neighbors and you just want the landlord to be aware.. Prove to them that you are well educated and not be running up and down.. because even if you pack, the next place you go to what makes you think the news isn't already there. But if you make them sign an undertaken first. Then you can move out of the area. Rubbish illiterate people. Enlightening may not be enough, if you bring the law into it yourself before they went ahead to table your matter, na u go know then.. take action against them or even make it known through someone who you know is the CNN among them. He will broadcast.. lock up for them for a while and later just relax.. but show force or even threatening force is enough to let them step back. This is what many remote workers face. Wrong labeling.

Boss, I don't know if this is appropriate. I am also a web developer as well as data generalist. I can use frontend and backend websites using Javascript. I am proficient in using many data tools like Python, Power BI, SQL. I don't know, you may have anything for me.

Park out from that compound. Hate and envy can ruin u completely.

The day u will buy vehicle is the say u will get blown away by their hate.

Park out and stay in a place where ur likes are living. I practically work from home too like u and I live in a house built by a retired General...even police dey fear to enter our compound not because we do bad things but for the right reasons.
I am a licenced money lender and most of my transactions are done electronically and two of my neighbours are freelancers like u and that helps a lot.

Stay away from envious people.

People will always talk, regardless whether you're doing well or badly. Your measurement bar should be your conscience and your God if you are a believer. Since you're certain that you're not involved in crime or anything illegitimate, then you should care less what others say.

Everyone gets criticized, me, you, Tinubu, even Jesus Christ and Prophet Muhammed. You can't change this fact.

So instead of hopping from compound to compound, focus on your hustle and forget about the NOISE!!

let people know what u, mentor people to have same skillset...the more people in a field, the more legit it becomes. Even yahoo is now respected in society, cos they have replicated their success among the youths

Bro, I feel you. This kind of thing happens too much in our communities. People are quick to judge what they don’t understand. Just because you are always at home doesn’t mean anything shady you are grinding, making money legitimately, and even working for clients abroad.

The truth is, people will always talk. The only thing that matters is that you know your worth and your hustle. Keep doing your thing quietly and professionally. Results speak louder than side talks. Eventually, they will see that you are living good honestly and stop all the nonsense.
