as a wise tech bro, the more you make progress career wise, the more you need a nice serene environment with human beings that match your level of reasoning.
Spend good money and rent a semi or fully detached apartment. Watch how it enhances your productivity.

You'll even be lucky see like minds there.

Simple advice bro. I am also a freelance AI engineer and Data Scientist. I usually use workplace for my work. In Ibadan here, there are many workplace that you can go and pay daily, weekly or monthly with correct WiFi. Look for a better workplace, leave your house in the morning and come back in the evening. Secondly, your area is full of people living below par. Relocate to a better environment where correct people live and get a workplace to go in the morning and come back in the evening.

Change your location
Get an office space if you can afford it, or go to a fancy restaurant and do your stuff.

Leave the house in the morning like others maybe two or three times a week. It will add dignity to your job and also prevent diseases associated with sedatary life style.

Don't draw unnecessary attention to your self in the name of working from home.

Look for an office to rent outside your home,many entrepreneurs like myself leave my house everyday to my office not because I can't work at home but because of the environment I find myself.

There's a saying that whenever fowls got lost in a compound it's the person that's always at home that will be ask about it whereabouts.

Can we all agree that work space is an extra cost, especially when it’s not necessary. I mean why waste money that can be used on other stuffs to be paying for rents that is not necessary?

Simply planning your activities can help solve the issue, planning your day and leaving people to their opinion will be a better idea.

..you can be going to a public library or any higher institution library like university, polytechnic library, college of education library within your area and be doing your remote home job.. that will make you to be going out of the house

My brother. No amount of explanation can deliver you from this. Just accept your fate and either remain in that environment or move out. I remember when I was still working in LG electronics many years back. I was liking in a rural area in ibadan because I have some properties around which I don't want to be far from. I deliberately don't go to work because I find it comfortable working from home which my superiors know nothing about. Later I discovered that the landlords around start avoiding me because there have been a lot of robbery around and when ever they get to bofem hotel, I'm always there with guys flexing. But since no one talked to me about it I decided to keep my peace. One faithful day a man walk up to me and said he wanted to repair his washing machine and I was shocked. I was like how did you get to know where I'm working. The man laughed and said, they all had a meeting to arrest me so I can provide the rest of the boys that I'm operating with. But the DPO they went to report to actually knows me. He was the one that told them I'm working and I'm as responsible like every other family man in the neighborhood. That's how they left me alone and became friendly. That's my side of the story. You can try and meet the CDA chairman. So that you can visit the CDA meeting one day with your systems and do some presentation for them so they can leave you alone. Rumor moves faster you know... And we don't easily digest the truth because it's bitter.

Option 1.Go rent your self a shared office space and thank me later. Since you said you are living a good life. That way you will wake up baff dressed well and go out like others then returned when others too are coming back.
Those neighbors will never stop calling you G-boy cuz normal normal, that's there module operandi, that's how they operate.

Don't die out of ignorance,the problem with you is a very minor issue,you are the one escalating it in nairaland,the solution is not far fetched,your hands are closed up and you are close fisted,you refused to date somebody around the compound,or get married the story will nosedive,pokenosers will vanish into thin air.

If you're in Lagos, try rent in a service apartment. It's mostly younger generation that live in such apartments, and most of them engage in your line of job.

Though the rent is always on the high side, but everyone usually mind their business.
