I woke up in Minna to see a scorpion resting by my side 😳, it had eggs after smashing it.
I woke up with a sharp pain one night in Minna too. It was from a deep sleep, I think it was a sting from a scorpion 🤷🏿.

I once saw a snake sleeping peacefully close to my bed, it was sound in sleep that it did not realize that I moved my bed to reveal it’s hidin
g place. I killed it though.

The snake you encountered is called Ọ̀gba in yoruba
( Yellow/ brown snake) It is a non venomous snake and doesn't attack human. If you pursue it in on place, it will move for a small distance and continue to sleep.

The last time I ever slept in that place was the night I heard something moving in the ceiling I suspect was a snake.

Throughout that night I didn't close my eyes for 1 minute to sleep. I shone my eyes counting the hours till day break.


I can't imagine inside the same house. You want me to run mad be that!

The day I sight snake in my area na that day I go kill am by fire or force. I trust my holy sniper to do the magic.

How are you so sure that Fumigation can kill a snake? Have you experienced it before? Fumigation kill a snake? Or it will just chase the snake away? YEst it can kill wall Geckos, bugs, termites, cockroaches, ants, mosquitoes, spiders, and rodents. But snake? i doubt it.

Get Ginger (not dried ones but the fresh ones) and cut in pieces and spread it around every areas in the house. Especially, if can spot their hiding place, stuff it with Ginger. Not only Gecko will disappear but Cockroaches and every other annoying insect will vamoose!

You will need to repeat same process after 2 or 3 days (depending on how fast those Ginger dried) to totally eradicate them

Many years ago I lived with some people in a compound. So the son of the Landlord lived with us and his wife put to bed a baby boy. On some evenings the mother of the baby would carry the baby and run out of their room. She would be shouting snake snake snake. So we the men around would carry sticks and enter to see if we could see the snake and kill it. But we could not see it and this repeated Itself for like three days. On the fourth day the husband decided to remove or declutter their room and lo and behold in one of the cartons which had a lot of wires and objects a long snake slithered out of the carton. Of course we killed it but I vividly remember that event after reading this post. Many people live with snakes but do not know. Unfortunately it killed that young sister. May God watch over us. As the writer said we should fumigate once in a while our surroundings....
