There was mild drama on Monday when the Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, openly attempted to persuade his Adamawa State counterpart, Ahmadu Fintiri, to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Sule made the remarks during the presentation of a book titled “Fintiri, the Man They Could Not Stop”, held in honour of the Adamawa governor. Speaking before guests at the event, the Nasarawa governor jokingly revealed that he had come prepared with a cap associated with President Bola Tinubu, should Fintiri be considering a move to the APC.

“You have the APC in your DNA. We’re on the same page with you. I have brought a Tinubu’s infinity cap in case you’re thinking of joining the APC,” Sule said, drawing laughter and attention from the audience.

He went on to reference recent political movements across the country, noting that governors from several states had switched allegiances to the ruling party.

“Your Excellency, the governor, you have seen us going to Delta, Enugu, Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Kano, Plateau and Taraba states. And who knows, this may be an expedition that I’m coming to do,” he added.

Striking a more serious tone, Governor Sule reflected on the challenges of leadership, particularly from the perspective of a second-term governor. He spoke about the pressures and responsibilities that come with governing.

“On a more serious note, my brother, as a governor in my second term, I understand the weight of leadership. I understand the loneliness of decision-making, and I understand the courage it takes to govern with conviction and pressure,” he said.

According to Sule, true leadership goes beyond public approval and requires strong values and commitment to service.

“Leadership is not about popularity at all costs. It is about clarity of purpose, consistency in service, patience and fear of God,” he told Fintiri.

Governor Sule lied. The APC governors are yet to go to Rivers to receive Fubara. They sent a lowly rated Festus Keyamo instead. When is V.P Shettima leading the rest of the party to elaborately receive Fubara as has been done in other states? Could it be the fear of Wike?

Leadership is not about online noise, onlline polling units, lack of character, not normadic, not lack of direction, not by becoming political frog, not by telling lies, not by self sainthood, not by bigotry, not by bullying, not by insults, not by supporting a terrorist openly, nottt by land grabbing.

When you are bitter and you are a political normadic with bad characters forget about leadership, Mr Lamba do you hear that? People are joining Tinubu apc becase he shows raw quality leadership that takes all.
