Tinubu sees no need for impeachment when party primaries are coming up in 6months and you can pick a new candidate

Tinubu has affirmed who the leader of the party is in Rivers and its not Fubara. It is Wike. All that one Bwala was talking na for his pocket
Let's wait for 6 months

Let's see the brand new candidate that will replace a sitting governor

I don't know if this is recent news about Wike and Fubara

Tinubu - Stop every impeachment moves against Fubara.
Wike remains the undisputed leader of the party in Rivers state whether APC or PDP

Izzou Roland17 una hear? This is not from Bwala
I saw this on the front page and I think it is recent, especially when you consider Wike’s recent silence and the suspension of Fubara’s impeachment process. While there is no official source to this news, I lean towards believing it. Asiwaju cannot afford a Rivers state in crisis heading into election season. Wike wants Fubara impeached but Asiwaju thinks differently and that is big. Will Wike work against Asiwaju in the worst case? I think this situation still works for Fubara.

The only legs Wike stands on is Tinubu staying loyal for someone that stuck his neck out for him when he didn't have to.

If it's the mathematics of 2027, Tinubu knows he'd do as well or better than he did in 2023 and that's all he needs from Rivers. His party controls 30 of the 36 states, he does not absolutely need Rivers to win the elections anymore.

Wike needs position himself as leader of party in Rivers so if 2027 is delivered it'd be said that he and not Fubara did so, that's the only way he stays relevant, and that's what the fight has become about now.

Do you know how important that part in bold is in politics and real life. That is why its unwise to bite that type of person who supported you when he didnt need to

Impeachment would cause crisis, A crisis that can be solved in 6months.

If Wike succeeds in denying Fubara tickets that means both have won something. Fubara completes his term and Wike gets to replace him..
Both also lose something Fubara lose 2nd term Wike lose the fight to impeach immediately

The fight between Wike and Fubara is for who controls Rivers state. If he can get that type of statement out of Tinubu that is enough for him to know where the FG stands.

Tinubu doesnt want any crisis in Rivers state when other states are already shaking. The best case is for peace in Rivers so they deliver for him and he can concentrate efforts in other dicey places in the North

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 4:18pm On Feb 03
Tinubu reportedly directed Wike to immediately halt all impeachment-related plots against Fubara and allow governance to proceed unhindered.

At the same time, the president issued a firm warning to Fubara, insisting that political seniority and structures must be respected. One source quoted Tinubu as drawing a comparison with Lagos State politics, saying:

“Is Babajide Sanwo-Olu my leader in Lagos, or was Babatunde Fashola my leader when he was governor?”

The president was said to have stressed that personal disagreements do not erase political hierarchy
, adding that Wike should be treated as an elder statesman in Rivers politics.

If he is asked how he is able to afford this lifestyle he will say he has various businesses in addition to his career as a poltician.

For this life, no politician enjoy reach naija politicians.

Steady flexing and stunting on citizens and urging them to be patriotic by paying more tax.

They no longer care about public trust and goodwill anymore.

When Soludo closed Main market because of it, his lawyer said sit at home must continue

My problem with you is that you're not listening to yourself. Just take a few minutes to read what you typed, and I'm sure you'll wipe it off immediately
Simon Ekpa started Sit at home stop being a skunk.

While the reason for the protest is for NK release, it still doesn't translate to him starting or enforcing it.

So jailing him because you want to stop sit at home doesn't make sense and violates his fundamental human right

He does have a point, and I get his beef, especially when you consider these epic Yoruba movies have always been his way of expressing high art, and the entrant of the likes of Funke and Toyin Abraham has practically turned these movies into another Igwe era of Nollywood, then add the dancing for promotion and it gives the vibe of people that just want to cash out.
BlueRayDick:
To be fair, most of the movies they've been celebrating as grossing 1 trillion in cinema earnings...blah...blah have mostly been trash.

I remember the pre-COVID era when I was a frequent Cinema goer , I always regret watching most of those hyped movies with big names like Funke and co. They just use promotions to sell trashy movies with weak story lines and be celebrating numbers everywhere. Nobody talks about how great the movies are anymore.

They brought that same attitude to Netflix when Netflix came dangling streaming funds at movie producers. The moment Netflix saw through their weak story lines and poorly written scripts, Netflix asked them to use their own funds to make the movies and then bring it for screening to decided whether they will accept them or not. Immediately most of them quickly returned to cinemas grin
How it all started in a film summit (Not exact transcript)

Interviewer: Are you making any big movie to come back to Cinema soon?

Kunle Afoloyan: Its draining. If you can guarantee me that I don't need to dance to sell the film

Interviewer interjects: How can I guarantee you that?

Kunle Afolayan: Laughs. We need to come up with other strategies. How do we sell without exhausting ourselves? I don't know how Funke and the likes are doing it, creating all those skits, everyday changing different costumes, I cannot.

Kunle ,Afoloyan: I will continue to say it, I don't want to make 2 billion in Cinema that I will not take home 10m. If your movie makes 2b in the cinema, when tax is deducted, the cinemas take their cut, you're left with about 500m. If you have institutional investors/stakeholders, you have to pay them too.......bla bla bla

So Kunle kinda insinuated that despite the huge cinema numbers, showing movies in the cinema was not really profitable for filmmakers.

Next thing Funke posted on her IG story. "I'm not the one hindering your progress. If you cant beat them or join them, create your own path. No allow jealousy burn you. The sky is so big for everybody to fly. Eyin were jojo.

She went further to call him on phone, yelling and said to him, "Mr Afolayan, I know you don't like me but don't mention my name in your interviews and cut the call"

I do not rate Funke Akindele. Her Jennifer TV series was wack. Her movies are terrible. I would rather watch paint dry on the wall than sit through her movie. But I think Kunle Afoloyan shouldnt have mentioned her name specifically and her reaction is completely justified.

Kunle Afoloyan probably thought his older status and the Yoruba ethos of respect for elders and "don't insult or disrespect an elder will shield him from Funke but na hin disrespect himself and invite the insult. He needs to be disciplined in his utterances.

Personally, I am struggling to see how Kunle offended Funke here, you can point me to it because I don't see it. Worsestill, Funke's response (more like a rant) is disappointing, especially when you consider her level of exposure; I mean!

He mentioned your name, so? You are both popular celebrities in the same field, irrespective of the competition. I doubt Kunle mentioned her to question her credibility or diss her.

He asked a legitimate question, "I don't know how Funke and the likes are doing it, creating all those skits, everyday changing different costumes, I cannot". Is that what triggered that type of response from Funke?

Funke saw it as an attack especially when she have the mindset people that don't relate with her don't like her.
Kunle also mentioned Toyin Abraham who later called Kunle too and they talked about it jokingly.

I watched video clip of the interview and it was same with the excerpt you posted.

Kunle Afolayan didn't do anything wrong in the interview one bit. The context in which he mentioned her name was neither derogatory or condemning. He simply said he can't do all the hardwork of making a great movie only to end up creating skits and other contents to promote the movie which cinema owners will reap the most profit.

He's merely referring to Funke and other film makers like her who have found solace in using skits and contents to push their movies after doing all the hard work for cinema owners to chop.

I don't know why she's getting salty ; perhaps she already has a preconceived beef for him and was waiting for him to walk into her trap so she can come at him like she did.

As in! Funke's response was an overreaction, it doesn't match Kunle's comment. Even if she thought it was a veiled dig, that type of response makes me question her ability to properly regulate her emotions.
