Fancy4:Did you recently do any form of electrical wiring on your car?? This issue is an electrical issue and your car is having low voltage/voltage outage. Your actuators and brain box is your starting point of examination. However, since there is no spark on your battery, it can also be a case of your alternator not charging at all (I had same experience in the past too where my vehicle died in motion because there was a bridge in the fuse box which stopped my alternator from functioning). I'm sure a competent rewire can trace the issue easily, since it involves voltage supply. I hope this helps. |

HELLO GUYS PLEASE I NEED HELP. I RECENTLY BOUGHT A CAR AFTER SOME DAYS I DISCOVERED THAT WHENEVER I ON HEADLIGHTS THE CAR WILL OFF. I THINK ITS PROBABLY WEAK BATTERY OR ALTERNATOR NOT CHARGING. NOW IF ITS WEAK BATTERY, WHAT ; * PRODUCT/MODEL CAN YOU RECOMMEND FROM EXPERIENCE? * ANY IDEA OF THE COST? |
| Re: The HONDA Club by Cryomancer(op): 9:37pm On Jan 06 |
GiftAbia1:You should get a rewire first to inspect your alternator and charging components first. It might be a fuse issue or other issues which would not need you spending close to 100k for battery or alternator replacement. |

Honda end of discussion Pls people, what is the permanent solution to the tire/wheel problems and pulling out ? |
| Re: The HONDA Club by peleson1: 8:25pm On Jan 07 |
Cryomancer:Pls how do one permanently solve this Honda leg problem especially with eod? |
| Re: The HONDA Club by sandammy(m): 8:45pm On Jan 07 |
peleson1:No permanent solution. It's an engineering error that you can only manage by routine checks and maintenances. Just pray the ball joint no pull where Otaku boys dey if not you go curse the day you bought the car |
| Re: The HONDA Club by 2cribz: 8:39am On Jan 08 |
To solve it,always have the ball joints checked every 3 months. Jack up the car, inspect the rubber boots for oil spillage peleson1: |
| Re: The HONDA Club by peleson1: 10:50am On Jan 08 |
2cribz:Pls and @sandammy What are the normal general maintenance look out for eod ? Comparing it with corolla 2006 , what are eod advantages over it and other vehicles one can easily point to? |
| Re: The HONDA Club by 2cribz: 12:50pm On Jan 08 |
Jus a lil slight groundclearance. Even the so called corolla has seen ball joint failure. How u will know your tyre would pul out,the steering ould be ver ver light, like as if its plastic check your ball joints both lower and upper. Uper is on top of tyre.the rubber bushings might have worn out. Even acura tsx, honda crosstour, lexus es 350,is,hummer,rav 4 till 2006 model, lexus rx all have ball jint failure peleson1: |

2cribz:My brother no be lie u talk mehn.. The eod I'm talking about is left in my care by my youngest brother who relocated so I'm looking at keeping it or selling it but the car looks ok but I g seen the leg issues lots of time . For this tax regime person need get sense .. Make I dey manage my beloveth Avensis . Moreso My woman had the discussion continues two years ago and I wasn't around then ,it was consuming too much fuel to the point that she kept fuel in her boat. Usually was stopping her on the way and she had throttle to safe place with some other issues to until I advice her to sell it off to her mechanic.. I think the best I can do is scan the car and see . Thanks Also note The car looks fine but very cheap in price so selling it won't be up to 2m The one my woman bought was 1.8m and it is as a higher version than this so you can see that comparing it with other cars like Corolla,it's a difficult option to call |
| Re: The HONDA Club by Cryomancer(op): 9:34pm On Jan 09 |
peleson1:If I'm to be objective in my response. Just sell off the car and have peace of mind. From your write up, you won't be able to maintain a Honda vehicle, because it doesn't condone abuse and if you abuse the car, it will deal with you just like it dealt with your wife. Just stick with Toyota which can withstand abuse for several years. Nobody sells a good working EOD for 2m, even those with poor engine performance and body sells above 2m at the moment, so if you're willing to sell yours for 2m, it an indication of something hidden. I wish you the best. |

Cryomancer:My brother, truth is that ,I don't like stress over machines Once e pass fuel car, change oil,b fix tires and regular routine maintenance for car ehn ,u see .. fix this one today, check that one tomorrow, e fit be this one and that one , omo I no get that time oo This is also the reason I hate generators , I don't use generator even though I v two .. I prefer solar .. service this, fuel don finish, rinse this ,do that Personally I work inside an engine room and I don't even like it . Abi na d noise greasy nonsense Imagine facing all the engine issues and running a vessel engine room .. Abeg Way back my woman had used Honda Civic cope , though bought new , it didn't give issues at all untill about 5 years back she dropped the car . The civic was rugged ,no issues I can tell you |

How can 4 plugs chop fuel. The plugs were bad and carbon filled and also the absence of catalyst....dirty maf sensor, dirty 02 sensors. Once I drive andi come back, esp almost 3 hrs drive and I put the gear on idle. If the rpm stays below 1000 rpm ,I know my plugs are fouled with carbon. The following day,i loose them all and clean them shapely then rinse with petrol and install back. I hate mechanics, rewires and all cos na beer money de de collect from my hand, unless the fix pass my knowledge.i go call and its usually ball joint, shocks, belt,ac gas, brake pads, linkage, bushings, the restlike theottle body,,coils, battery terminals, radiator, condenser, fuel pumps, fuses, radio install, back cam,etc i do it myself bro . Dc no be fuel guzzler .mei dey drive v6 and my fuel must not pass half tank..so i notnally top up 6k,5k..i no ean dey hear say fuel pass half mark. peleson1: |

Hello house, I'm about to buy a new battery for honda civic 010, I'm just thinking isn't 45ah too small to power that big engine. |
| Re: The HONDA Club by chillex8(m): 11:27pm On Feb 03*. Modified: 7:13am On Feb 04 |
rapheal5:That is the recommended battery size. |
| Re: The HONDA Club by Babatundehy: 2:55am On Feb 04 |
rapheal5:No honda civic has a big engine, if you want to step it up then you can proceed knowing fully well you have corrected the manufacturer. |

Good morning people. Please I need help. Don't really understand what is happening to my 2003 Honda Accord EOD. It consumes oil alot. Note the car is not smoking and works fine with excellently chilling Ac. The problem is that once I change the engine oil, within three weeks there will be shortage. The oil level goes below the last hole on the oil dipstick. I use Total Quartz 20w 50 oil for the engine. Kindly assist and advise so I can know what to do. |
| Re: The HONDA Club by Cryomancer(op): 3:38pm On Feb 10 |
Crownofwealth:Hmmm... Bros you've been using a wrong oil type and I suspect this is the genesis of the problem you're experiencing. How long have you been using this 20w-50?? You may end up buying a new engine Chief. |
| Re: The HONDA Club by Crownofwealth(m): 9:11pm On Feb 10 |
Almost a year Cryomancer: |
| Re: The HONDA Club by Cryomancer(op): 10:07pm On Feb 10 |
Crownofwealth:Still enough time to have done damage, considering the fact that the car wasn't bought brand new. I'll advise you revert to the factory 5w-20 or 5w-30, since you've been using a heavy oil already, just to see if it could help remedy the situation. But if it doesn't work after 4 months, just save up for a new engine. |
| Re: The HONDA Club by Donald3d(m): 10:42pm On Feb 10 |
Crownofwealth:This is very dangerous, if the oil level goes below the last hole on the oil dipstick . You could knock your engine and destroy it . I would suggest you stop driving the car until you find the source of the leak, or at least check it every morning and top it up if you have to. 20W 50 isn't the right oil for your vehicle, it would stress your engine . Use 5w-20(hard to find) or 5w-30 Also check your PCV valve , the issue might be as simple as cleaning it You may also have a leak in a place that is not very obvious . Check the following 1. You may have very slow leaks from slack valve cover gasket. Look round the valve cover and check for leaks. 2. Your vtec solenoid gasket may also be slack, this one is hard to spot because its at the back of the engine . You can use a mirror for this . 3. Check if your oil filter was tightened well and there is no leak. if the gasket between the filter and the mating surface is not seated properly there would be leaks 4. Check the oil drain plug as well. I have had leaks from the first 2 items listed above and changed them myself, it was relatively easy. |
| Re: The HONDA Club by 2cribz: 1:57pm On Feb 13 |
Ogbeni ypu eod has a leak. Check the oil sump bolts with throttle body bolts. It might have a leak, also check your exhaust bolts where you have the vacuum hose which houses the air flow meter, those are 3 places oil escapes thru, also check your belt seals bolts, those places are where oul leaks, there should be signs on the ground.my own meko lost a bolt to my throttle body and al broke an oil pan bolt. I did servicing in January and till now I've lost almost 2 litres. Not had time to source for the bolts but still my oil is about middle pin ,last pin is below it and I could see traces of oul leak once engine is parked,it drops dot dot for like 10mins. Anytime I park.so check those places I highlighted. U will see signs of oil leak.no let your engine go knock. Eod engine is almost 1.2m and e no get guarantee. Better use your head.dont be careless Make your pride no drop Car na car |

Someone said he dey use thick oil 20w50 and the oil dey dry up under 3 weeks,u come dey advice am make he use 5w30. E go dry up within 3 days,5w30 oil wey light like werey..no be mouth. He has an oul leak or valve seals leak or basically exhaust bolts leak. Im speaking from experience.e pay make u get leak from 10mm bolt than a 22 mm bolt. E go drain all the oil complete. Good day my people, my inner rear mirror got detached, which gum can I use to reattach it. |
| Re: The HONDA Club by Cryomancer(op): 11:06pm On Feb 13 |
rapheal5:Hmmm... Why not clip it back in instead. I once used a gum to fix same issue and when the morrow finally broke, it refused to come out for me replace just the mirror. I had to buy the full side mirror unit again. If you want to use gum, please ensure it's a light gum that won't be hard to take off in case you want to change only the mirror. Don't make the mistake I made. |
| Re: The HONDA Club by Crownofwealth(m): 6:51am On Feb 14 |
Where I usually park the car there is usually no oil drops on the ground. When I said the oil drys up I don't mean that there is no oil at oil. There is oil just that it goes below the last hole on the dip stick. Usually top it with the remaining one litre left when I did servicing. 2cribz: |
