This must be Hincapie best game in Arsenal
All forces thrown at him were repelled with ease
I like hincapie defensively but he don't know how to push attack like calafiori.he is very good defensive

I agree with this post 100%!

Hincapie was massive yesterday night. He handled Delap and Esteavo threats really really well; even when he is caught out of position and Gabriel was covering for him, the tracks back immediately to cover ground and force Chelsea to recycle the ball back to their own half.

He may be mid in attack play, but he was very solid in defense.

The funny thing is estevao started with timber thinking it will be a repetition of what happened at the bridge.
The whole game mgt yesterday was on point, the rent boys didn't have any option at all

Timber carry yellow card dash Estevao sharp sharp as he enter after he beat him at his own game.

I was really impressed with our boys yesterday. Even Eze wey I dey complain about say he no function well as AM, he swicthed things up defensively in the second half and was tracking back all through the final moments of the game.

The game management was superb. We didn't make panic substitutions

Hincapie is a traditional full back. 'Run to the byline and cross' type. He is good as a LCB in a back 3. Although I think he can still develop. He just nee some calmness. He too dey rush

Calafiori is a tactical weapon. He excels in all phase of play.

There's a video of that Havertz goal I watched this morning with the camera angle showing Gabriel and Kepa at the back before Havertz scored. The moment Havertz received the ball, Gabriel sank to his knees at the back in celebration already. When the ball hit the net, he collapsed on the pitch and Kepa went to jubilate with him.

Omo! That goal was a perfect ending to the match honestly.

We need to win our game this weekend with enough goals if possible, and see what happens at Anfield with Liverpool finding their cojones back and man city having a defensive crisis.
If we can get 13 wins from a possible 15, we would be on course to win the league with our highest point margin ever.

I have noticed that we do well if we play on Saturday and our closest rival (Man city this year and Loserpool last year) plays on Sunday. We do better when we don't play under pressure of "must win" because our closest rival dropped point yesterday.

If u notice well, u will see most of the matches we've dropped point to increase the gap at the top this season, they have mostly been matches City has played earlier and have gotten either a draw or loss.

I think because of the desire to prove doubters wrong and all, we become nervous in matches that we should easily win and the pressure gets to not just the players but the coaching crew making us to carve under weight of the pressure.

However, I have a strong believe that this year will be different. Something tells me that once we win something tangible this year, we would actually dominate the league for a long time. We just need to keep pushing and win something this season. Seeing players like Rice , Saliba, etc being vocal about their desire for the team to win something this season gives a very high level of confidence.

Hopefully we win Sunderland on Saturday and pass the pressure back to City to battle it out with Loserpool on Sunday and let's see where that leaves us.

You're right. I've noticed it too. What makes it worse is that the pressure gets to Arteta as well. He's usually hyper active and somewhat jittery on the touchline.

And for the bolded, the first time after a long while is usually hard. Most time, the table is always close. I think City had to score a late goal against QPR then to win it for first time. I stand to be corrected

I noticed it too. I feel like we will definitely win the league no matter how it goes, but I want it to be a kind of statement winning season. It will certainly scatter any failure mentality remaining in the team as a whole.
City's next two games are matches where I expect them to struggle, what the outcome of both would be, I don't know. But I know they will struggle against Liverpool and Fullham.

Omo!! That defeat was painful to us fans but I am glad how the team handled it.

By the way, my prayer be say make Rice dey fit till end of the season. He is too important to the team at this stage.

We need to start managing his game time.

Rice is a war horse; he plays like he's got some heavy duty engine powering him.

I felt for him during the celebration, he was breathing heavily on the dashboard. Man ran his lungs out despite the fact that it was the 96th minute.

Kudos to Martinelli too. That last minute run took a whole lot from them.

By the way, why Odegaard no play today? Hope no be Injury?

I think Arteta didn't see the need to bring in Odegaard in the second half having seen that all we needed to see the game off was just to remain defensively compact till the end.

Bringing on Odegaard at that time would've opened us up to attacks cos Odegaard's mind will be fixated on starting attack when we should be defending as a team.

In all, Arteta tried in reading the game really well Sha

But Chelsea fans really gas themselves up Sha yesterday. They had a free kick in front of our box and all their fans brought out their fans thinking tbey would capture the ball ending at the back of our net 😂😂😂

The ball no even pass wall and they were looking for PK wey no lost grin

I dont really think he was in match day line up self. Thats my point.

Or did I miss it? Baba no dey bench.

Do you think this current Odegaard would be able to execute that assist the way Rice did?

I personally dont think so, maybe I am beign biased sha.

How does Arsenal's playing style concern you?
We use this same style to beat the Madrid brothers, Bayern, Intern, Man City....

Odegaard can make the pass on his good day. In fact, Odegaard in that same position as Rice will always make the pass because he's an AM who has actually done that several times. I think that match we walloped Chelsea 5-0 he made similar forward pass to Havertz who raced Cucurella to slot the ball home.

I think Odegaard like Saka needs some time off to relax and rejuvenate. As far as I'm concerned, he's still our best player in that AM position until Eze starts imposing himself in matches.

Personally I feel Eze is a good player who excels in a kinda free role type of AM that requires little or no defensive contribution and tracking ball back. However, that playing style has no place in this current Arsenal set-up which is why he has been struggling to impress like we want to see him do. I believe if he's willing , he will put in serious work and will adapt to current Arsenal set up Sha. It's only a matter of time.

He is injured. Arteta said he felt something during the Leeds game but he should be fine. Probably on Saturday, we will see him.

Loserpool under him is not even playing anything close to good/nice football sef.

I don't want to believe he is shading Arsenal sha, most likely he's just speaking in general terms.
