The family of Deborah Moses, a Benue-born interior designer allegedly killed by her ex-boyfriend, Lintex, has raised alarm following his reported absence from court proceedings.

Deborah’s sister, in an emotional appeal, claimed that the suspect did not appear in court and that there are attempts to quietly secure his bail.

“Lintex did not appear in court yesterday. They are trying to go behind to get him bail. We need all the help we can get,” she said.

The tragic incident reportedly occurred on September 4, 2025. According to accounts shared online and by family sources, Deborah had ended the relationship after enduring prolonged abuse. Lintex allegedly refused to let go and later gained access to her residence under false pretenses, where she was attacked.

Neighbors reportedly intervened and alerted the police, leading to Lintex’s arrest.

As the case continues, Deborah’s family and supporters are calling on authorities to ensure transparency and justice, insisting that her death must not be overlooked.

The justice system is damn too slow but if you look at it from another point of a wrongly accused person. The truth often eventually comes to light during that prolong trial and investigation. The truth is that we should do everything possible not to be involved in criminality, or even be a friend to a criminal. Also, run from anyone that's criminally minded.....flee from all appearances of evil.....that is the weapon that protect you from all these pain and anguish......the girl mixed up with a jealous and unforgiven boyfriend. Probably he has done a lot for her and still got jilted but that never warranted the killing, I believe the guy would be served a well deserved dish of Death by hanging or at worst life imprisonment........Lagos state gives death sentence or life for such crime but if they check other perspective, he could be given life imprisonment with hard labour.........

Everyone feels the same instinct but whatever you do, remember that the law wouldn't think like you do law doesn't have emotions or feelings. Law judge you base on facts and testimonies....if you dare take the law into your hands by killing or doing something criminal. You will be the one to serve the crime of those people that hurt you.....you will serve their time and also serve your own time too in the prison...the best thing is to allow the law to take its course squarely..judgement from the court is always the best even though it takes time but it's comfortable and relieving that justice had been served properly.....talking from a world without corrupt infiltration into the law system where justice can be truncated............

Justice isn't emotional, you either pursue it or you lose it, if you like video yourself crying blood, you can only get the sympathy from the court of public opinion.
There are logical reasons why a defendant could be absent in court. Also, granting a suspect bail doesn't mean the case has ended...
