It was a masterstroke in international diplomacy.

Nigeria's foreign affairs Corp has a crop of very brilliant and patriotic Nigerians who work behind the scene and do not court the limelight. They are the instrument of power that Nigeria wields covertly.

The Americans by now wished they didn’t swallow the bait. They are now spending mounting millions on dollars to fix a problem they created and initially abandoned to Nigeria.

That CNN interview by our Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tuggar, was absolutely brilliant and leaves the Americans as ignorant of the real issues while placing a moral obligation on them to fix the problem they , the Americans, created through their malevolent ouster of former Libyan President, Col. Muamar Ghadaffi.
Is it lack of Ghadaffi that is behind terrorism in Nigeria ? Next thing is they will say because Onassis is dead they cannot import oil into Nigeria. All this conspiracy theory thinking does not take anymore anywhere

Is managing the narrative and relationship with Trum more important than stopping the insecurity altogether?

If the US fails to see the manipulation of the Nigerian Govt in all these diplomatic maneuvers, then it would have been better they didn't come in the first place

The whole insecurity thing is about Islamization and Fulanization fused together in one, any other coloration the APC and the North give it is pure deceit

Break Up Nigeria now!

Nah better flip-pant liar tinubu be.

75 death in one evening in kwara and this is the nonsense you people find worthy to celebrate.

Chai 75 lives gone like that in south West and everywhere is quiet. Let one person in South East die and the whole country will be redhot.
When ipob unalives their brozers it's never red-hot. Besides Yoruba are smart enough to understand " red hot " will not stop terrorism. Maybe when we have a better set of leaders things will change. I doubt If Peter Obi could have done better. Maybe Charles Soludo is what Nigeria needs.

The emergency lovers of Nigeria are really sad that Trump has not invaded Nigeria to overthrow Tinubu government. That is what they wish, and they are pained that it has not happened. What a shame!
Re: "How Nigeria Flipped The Script On Trump" By Matthew Page by FutureFocus: 11:38am On Feb 05
Trump doesn’t understand Nigeria internal politics , the Caliphate Jihadist love the Caliphate more than Nigeria, they want more land to rule over , yet to be captured part of the Nigeria celebrated Trump involvement and see it as help from Above while the Caliphate Jihadist were angry , the attack came handy as a huge help to the Nigeria war against the land grabbing jihadist , a huge help to even the sitting government who fancy and love the idea too, the government will definitely work with Trump

With one stone, Tinubu neutralized all the folks who were masturbating on Trump bombing Nigeria. Even Lama King released a tweet supporting the 'invasion" of Nigeria by the US. Infact many of them thought Trump will go further and do to Tinubu what he did to the Venezuelan president. They even went as far as now bombing churches and kidnapping worshipers in Churct to hasten up the attack from the US. They non know Tinubu say get the sense of both Fox and turtoise.

They were repeating the phrase 'disgraced nation', a country of concern everywhere.

Nowadays, when US is talking about the issue, it is no longer with threats but as strategic partners in helping to improve the security of the nation.

Oh please! Don't make us look like fools. The last paragraph is itself an insult. Do you know what it means when you have to do things to please Trump and you are telling us that is direction? Despite the fact that Canada stands to lose a great deal, Mark Carney made that speech that was bold enough to let Trump know that we're taking a new direction. Our President has not made any direct speech. This man is a hypocrite. He keeps releasing press statements and thank God you keep archives, check all he said when he was in opposition on issues like this. Please don't sell this to us. Some of us are not that stooppeedd. This is a poor PR job and no one is buying it. Moreover, you should understand that the critical issue of trust is gone, not by an external party but by the same government whose words lack the value of the mint it produces.

A man who appointed Teamship to speak for him during campaign gives no two legs of cow foot on talking to us. When last has the president had a chat on issues? Instead they are continuing from where Buhari stopped by different people mixing quadratic equations with chemical formulas on the tactics of the president. The president's silence is not strategy, it's COWARDICE. Cowardice masked as bravery and being smart. You can fool some people some of the time, you can't fool the people all of the time.

There have been daring massacres by these deranged folks ever since trump made his threat .
historically , the US involvement in other countries affairs leads to destruction rather than improvement.
Afghanistan , Libya et al are classic example.

Ladies and gentlemen, here is another one. He has already described himself in his post, so there's no reason for me to describe him.

Once again, I created this thread to see those that cannot read and understand simple texts because they are the people that will believe that the article is praising Nigeria or the Nigerian Government.

This is caused by simple lack of comprehension. It is the inability to read and understand simple texts.

As I said, he has already described himself in his post.

Do a Google search. Google says the ipob thing has claimed the life of 10,000 Ibo men. Orji Uzor Kalu even said on national television that it was 30,000 Igbo people. When you think of all the people who could not get to hospital on Monday then you will understand that it's quite alot. Look for KobolanderSegun on Nairaland he will explain Biafra for you. A Yoruba man loving Ojukwu while Igbo youth have discarded Ojukwu and embraced Kanu. No way wahala nah.... The Jews took Barabbas over Jesus.

Naptu2, I don't care about your public parade. That's your business. You may not know me and I really don't care because it's a public forum. I've been following your threads for a long time and give credit where it's deserved. Face the issues, don't come and school me at this age with those gaslighting tactics. You wey show archive where Murtala de present speech of Nigeria's sovereignty is now quite glad that Nigerian leaders need to prove to Trump pé kini kan kini kan. Anyway, Please don't reply me if you have nothing to say about the article. I am not here to talk about people. Nigeria is a sovereign country. The article is rubbish and countries are waking up to the idea that what Trump is doing is a test of the global world order despite conventions after the world war on how to respect each countries. The president was not elected to please Trump, he was elected to serve us, talk to us, defend us and uphold our sovereignty and integrity. What's the foreign policy statement of Mr Tinubu? Africa is the centrepiece of US foreign policy?

I'm not interested in Chatham House Analysts explaining from a different continent what my people are seeing and feeling here. Try another job.

JESUS CRHIST OF NAZARETH!!!

You can easily know when someone has nothing to say and this below is a perfect example.

Matthew Page has been a long time critic of all Nigerian governments and he wrote this piece to criticise the government again. However, this is Nairaland. I knew that these funny people would not read the post, digest it and understand what was being said. The only things that are in their heads are political party, religion and ethnic group. There is a distinct lack of common sense in their head.

I created this thread to enjoy those that will do as I said.

This guy did exactly as I predicted and his trying to cover it up by blabbing about nonsense.

I have no time for that. I will simply block him if he persists.

This is my last post to you.

Tinubu need to be studied from political sagacity and diplomatic prowess. I am highly impressed that he didn't allow trump to humiliate him and the country in general. Nigeria will surely rise again. he is the best among his contenders. imagine obi or Jonathan as the sitting president, they will have subject themselves to puppet of trump. the American government has no choice to commit a lot of money to support Nigeria to fight insecurities even when trump had stopped to offer financial support since last year.

Awolowo wasted money on education. Awolowo is not on the same level with Ojukwu. Ojukwu is a University all by himself, even Ndigbo didn't understand him. If Ndigbo really knew how great Ojukwu was they will drop ipob overnight and March on with Ojukwu.

I'm Yoruba. Ojukwu was a Real Man.

Waiting for my tribalism brothers to mock Ojukwu. Go and look for KobolanderSegun on Nairaland that is the only guy who doesn't send anybody and will just say the truth.
