The hospital where the lady was treated already made a public correspondence on the subject matter. Snake poisoning from bites can be deadly and the hospitals can try to save lives but that depends on several factors.

However, i am surprised that Peter Obi and his followers are mKing a fuss about it. Does that mean every Nigerian that die of snake bite poisoning or anyway is caused by President Tinubu?

It is really sad and appalling to think some of us can descend so low in thinking.

What did Peter Obi achieve in the health sector in his state

Health care provision in Nigeria is terrible

Health care provision is primarily a state government function

In that regard the state governments have been abysmal

However the Federal government has responsibility especially if snake bites are a major public health issue or in Abuja where this happened
However the fact that a single person dies is not a matter of politicking.
Snake bites are a serious matter but not a public health priority in most states that means less preparedness

Especially for Peter Obi

Nigeria has chronic problems in the health care sector dating back to 1985 when Buhari was military Head of State


There has not been a time since. 1990 any of us can look back at and say health care was better then than now or that more people were surviving snake bites

India has the largest number of deaths from snake bites . Reason is not far fetched plenty of snakes and poverty

The rot in the health care sector is 40 years old cannot be reversed overnight

Even if it were to be reversed it will be on a state by state basis not from the Federal Government

Let us remember how Lagos State responded under Fashola whe we had Ebola cases

With all the resources and logistics they have Covid 19 outcomes were terrible in the West compared to Nigeria
We had better outcomes
I am likely to vote for Obi if he can tell us what exactly his health care plan us and how he will fund it
