🇮🇷 Iran's Revolutionary Guards have seized two oil tankers with their foreign crews in Gulf waters for "smuggling fuel," the Tasnim news agency reported Thursday.

The seizures took place amid heightened tension after Washington dispatched a naval group to the region following Tehran's deadly response to anti-government protests.

"More than one million litres of smuggled fuel were found on board of the two vessels," Tasnim reported, and a total of "15 foreign crew members were referred to the judiciary."

The Guards captured the vessels near Iran's Farsi island in the Gulf, the agency said.

Iranian forces regularly target tankers that Tehran accuses of being part of the illicit trade in the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, a key chokepoint for global oil and liquefied natural gas shipments.

The seizure is the the latest in a series of similar incidents in recent months.

Very good! Seizures are not the exclusive preserve of the US and the west. The owners should be ready for trade offs with the Islamic Republic.

This is Iran fighting back and it will use what it has to defend itself. Those vessels are loaded with fuel to power Iran’s enemies' fighter jets and Iran is not stupid.

Iran is monitoring their moves with hand on the trigger. Iran forced the US carrier warships to retreat while sending drone over US warships to monitor their moves real-time.

If Trump doesn't want war, he has time to do so. His war in Iran will not bring back the western spies Iran held and eliminated during the sponsored terrorist attack on Iran.

There are reasons why the US is very hesitant to deploy troops on ground in Iran. Iran is twice the size of Afghanistan and 4 times the size of Iraq. Unlike Iraq that has a rather flat landscape, Iran has countless mountains and valleys that serve as strategic defensive positions. US troops invading in such a terrain, will be facing the most difficult landscape since Vietnam.

Iran has the global economy by the balls due to its ability to shut down the strait of Hormuz. This season passageway is where over 30% of global shipping passes through. Iran can mine the entire strait overnight rendering it impassable to ships for a long time. The price of oil will shoot up massively and global economies will be even under more pressure than normal.

All Saudi and Qatari oil fields are within the reach of Iranian missiles and drones. If Arabia and Qatar permit the US to launch attacks on Iran from bases within these countries, Iran is going to light up their oil fields like Christmas trees. This reason alone is why Qatar and Saudi Arabia are strongly pressuring the US to stand down and back off any attacks.

Better go and find pictures of starving children and type down hashtag #freeiran on your draft message, so that when the real film start, you would have enough propaganda material that you would use to emotionally blackmail the gullible liberals on social media.
