Lol, I am literally reading all your inputs. You are so knowledgeable in this. Thank you. Btw, Why did you say equity fund is not good for people above 45? Jayce242: |

High blood pressure and patience tolerance. Gokoyer0: |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Jayce242: 2:01pm On Feb 05 |
Gokoyer0:Because of time Investments with high volatility are not recommended for people approaching 50. Equity has high potential of greater returns, but it is also very risky. The more time u have on your side, the longer u can wait to absorb any loss & wait for a recovery. |

EquityM:Ok, done. |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 2:56pm On Feb 05 |
You are right. People like me is investing in MMF, and even buying some small shares here and there .. This is my retirement plan. I am in for compounding effect. I have been using cowrywise majorly, right now, I want to add equity investment. The only thing I think it's a waste of time and that can't really best inflation is fixed deposit. Can you suggest platforms/apps where I can be able explore equity investment very well? Jayce242: |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 3:04pm On Feb 05 |
Depends on your budget. I recommend Zrosk, as it is a VIP equity. CardinalStone is also good if you can be patient. There is also VIP CardinalStone (100 m). Gokoyer0: |

| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 3:33pm On Feb 05 |
Thanks Jayce242: |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 3:43pm On Feb 05 |
They don't have an app; however, I can share their contact details. They are still building their website; moreover, I was told today that they will send weekly portfolio updates, as they will be sending a copy to the SEC as well. Every month, you will get your statement valuation and the portfolio performance. Lastly, equity is for the long term; before you delve in, are you going to be happy seeing red and green? Gokoyer0:

Nigeria is a weird place to invest. The citizens like to invest in Dollar mutual funds to hedge against the Naira devaluation essentially betting against their own currency. Meanwhile foreign investors brings in Dollar, converts their dollars to Naira to invest in Naira mutual funds. Weird

Beeron:Anyone still converting naira to dollar to invest because of devaluation doesn't know anything about investment and they are losing a lot of money. Since the emergence of our president, all naira investments have been doing so well and great. |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 3:57pm On Feb 05 |
I am here for long term. I have been seeing some green and red already in Cowrywise. I am used to it ![]() By the way, What's the minimum fund to start with zrosk? I.will contact them. Thank you EquityM: |

| Re: Equity Investment. by Gratefulme: 4:04pm On Feb 05 |
temi4fash:How do you mean frustrating? Are you sure you're using prime pro? I see comments like yours and wonder if it's same app I use. As far as I know, its user friendly, basic and straightforward for mmf use. |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Beeron: 4:05pm On Feb 05 |
Allboiz:Anyone converting to dollar at this point is still operating on the old Knowledge that Naira will crash soon against the dollar. I won't blame them, if you think about it, Not everyone has access to financial knowledge update like we share with ourselves on this forum and even on YouTube. Most people stumble on financial news updates by accident, only few go actively looking for it, hence, the reason for the wide gap in knowledge. |

EquityM:Thanks a bunch. The experience has been so traumatising I can't believe that. By the way, I am not sure what's happening after I accessed the account ; No accrued interests even though the advisor claimed there was since Monday only N51? Of N500,00k or am I missing something cos I don't understand or this is how they work so that I can decide to get out of their platform after all the troubles being onboarded. I don't even want to compareh interest from CS with what I am seeing from DLM that I did the same day. Please, make this make sense to me or help explain oh. |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Jayce242: 5:04pm On Feb 05 |
Beeron:Are u looking at it from a long term perspective? Saying naira won't fall against dollar means there will no longer be inflation. America has the best economy in the world reason the USD was adopted as the reserve currency. The dollar will always be ahead of the naira in terms of beating inflation. Our production output has not increased, export is still low & import is going higher, forget about the temporary gains. Long term naira will fall against dollar, same way dollar will fall against gold. Go check history. What was the value of naira to USD in the early 90s, 2000, that will give u the answer. |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Jayce242: 5:13pm On Feb 05 |
Allboiz:If u buy a land of 10m naira & save another 10m in the bank. Which do u think will be more valuable in a few years? The US dollar is the most traded currency in the world & it is the country with the best economy in the world. It is just a matter of time, inflation will force naira to succumb to the US dollar. Any gains u are seeing now is just temporary. |

EquityM:My deposit history, my transaction history , gains, income accounts all are still showing zero. Please, is this how it works for the first timer. I need to know before I wrote them a long letter asking questions. Below is the screen shot. If this continue this way , I guess I may have to discontinue with them. They've given me enough headache.

@Beeron.... Please Why is no one paying attention to ETFs on NGX? |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Beeron: 6:09pm On Feb 05 |
Salarys:I have personally not invested in it but I learnt that it's easy to get into but not easy to exit. I hate it when I provide answers like this because I don't have first hand experience. |
