Ellexy:It takes time to grow and mature before we start experimenting with electronic transmission in a country where network infrastructure are shaky at best and not as secure. Was it last year that one exam body maybe Jamb or Waec had to rewrite exams because of technology glitches? Imagine that happening to an election. A scenario where network goes down, elections are hacked, wrong winners announced then we have military taking over power. We just survived an attempted military coup last year things matured democracies dont even talk about anymore Once we get our infrastructure up to date then we can be thinking about those type of revolutionary changes |

Spy360:We need it when we are developed to manage it. Not everything wey fancy we are ripe to. We have to develop at our own pace. Its like someone who is on Band D electricity whose transformer don blow and buying electric cybertruck because his neighbor is driving it How many students took Jamb that had glitches that they had to rewrite. Is that the same system you want to handle elections for 30m voters? Or country wey still dey address military coup 12months ago |

olagamalin:It has 3 options...faster <faster < fastest We normally use the fast option which to me is okay and this would last all thru d night with just one bar out of four when fully charged. The fastest option is too hard... Note: I only got the table fan that have no other attachments... |

olagamalin:The fan blows really well; it may not blow like those ox fans that make noise, but trust me it blows really well. As regards how long it lasts, trust me it can serve u as much as 10 hours or more sef. The way it works is this; once the solar panel is up on the roof(or anywhere it can access the sun directly), the inverter will charge and will get to full charge during the day. That solar inverter is what you connect to your fan to power it all through the night. From my own user experience, If I put the fan on around 10pm it will work till around 8am next morning and it will just consume one bar out of the five bars indicating charge level on the inverter. It literally works all through the night and you still have enough power unutilized till the sun comes back up the next morning. The truth is the fan is far better than any rechargeable fan I've seen being advertised online as far as performance and reliability is concerned. |

I watched a reel yesterday of one white guy saying he's surprised that Nigeria is talking about other things, rather than the death of 170 people. Lately, it's starting to look disturbing. Gunmen will just kill people. Governor go talk. Tinubu go send soldiers, and that's all. I remember when the Ikeja Bomb blast happened. It was a Sunday. The next day, everywhere was moody. Tinubu spoke that night. The country's flag was lowered at half mast...Like..You would know that something bad happened to Nigeria. How did this country get to this point. 160 people died, and we are talking about PDP led faction, and a lot of rubbish.! Jehovah, have mercy. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by iamoyindamola(m): 9:16am On Feb 06 |
izzou:160 could be the favourable figure, it can be more than that Governor that be react is coming out to say Islamic extremists are the killer instead of wiping them off and shalaye later. There are some states in this country we need to join them together and assign an head of state for them to supervise because some governors are useless |

izzou:I think OBJ came to Lagos then himself..Now what we have as a president is in AsoRock with the Kwara Governor taking pictures with the usual "I condemn, I have ordered" that we still heard after the Yelewata attack in Benue last year.. Our situation is so sad honestly.. Everything has been reduced to politics.. |

OPERATION WHIRL STROKE INTENSIFIES INTELLIGENCE-DRIVEN OPERATIONS, NEUTRALIZE ARMED BANDIT AND ARREST CRIMINAL SUSPECTS Troops of the Joint Task Force, Operation WHIRL STROKE (OPWS), have continued to sustain an enhanced operational tempo through intelligence-led aggressive fighting patrols, recording significant successes against criminal elements across parts of Benue and Nasarawa States. On 3 February 2026, troops of Sector 1, OPWS, acting on credible intelligence regarding the activities of armed herders in Ayamba Village, Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State, swiftly mobilised in conjunction with personnel of the Nigerian Police Force and operatives of the Benue State Civil Protection Guard to the location. Upon arrival at Ayamba Village, contact was made with the armed elements, leading to a brief engagement during which one armed bandit was neutralised. Troops also recovered one AK-47 rifle, three rounds of 7.62mm x 39 special ammunition, and two magazines from the scene. Similarly, on 4 February 2026, troops of Sector 2, OPWS, deployed at Patrol Base Agyaragu in Nasarawa State, received actionable intelligence from a local hunter about suspected armed robbers lurking along the Asupe–Ome Road in Obi Local Government Area. Acting promptly on the information, the troops moved to the general area in collaboration with the hunter. During the operation, one suspected armed robber, identified as Adam Paul, aged 34, was arrested, and one AK-47 rifle was recovered. Preliminary interrogation revealed that the suspect obtained the weapon from one Tela Obu, a resident of Duduguru Community in Obi LGA. Two other suspects, identified as John Amos and Elisha, also residents of Duduguru Community, fled the scene and are currently at large. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the suspects. In another development on the same day, troops of the COAS Intervention Battalion IX, deployed at Agbaragba in Benue State, responded swiftly to a distress call from local residents concerning the mobilisation of some youths from Agagbe community to rustle cattle. On arrival at the location, troops discovered several dead cattle at different points. However, three suspects were arrested in connection with the incident and subsequently handed over to the Nigeria Police Force in Naka for further investigation and prosecution. In a similar vein, on 5 February 2026, troops deployed at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Agbagbe received credible intelligence indicating that some youths were actively butchering rustled cattle meat inside a residential building within Agagbe Community. Two suspects were apprehended at the scene while in possession of mutilated and butchered meat believed to have been obtained from rustled cattle. Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects were allegedly involved in cattle rustling activities within the general area, a criminal act that has continued to threaten livelihoods and undermine peace in rural communities. The arrested suspects have since been taken into custody for investigation and possible prosecution in line with extant laws. The Force Commander, Joint Task Force Operation WHIRL STROKE, Major General Moses Gara, commended the troops for their resilience, vigilance and aggressive posture in denying criminals freedom of action. He stated that the recorded successes are in line with the directive of the military high command, for commanders to scale up and intensify aggressive fighting patrols while enhancing intelligence-driven operations. Major General Gara further charged the troops to sustain the momentum and maintain a strong fighting efficiency to deter and neutralise criminal activities within the Joint Operations Area. He also expressed appreciation to local communities and members of other security agencies for their continued support and cooperation, which have contributed significantly to the successes recorded by Operation WHIRL STROKE. AHMAD ZUBAIRU ZUBAIRU Lieutenant Acting Media Information Officer HQ JTF Operation WHIRL STROKE 05 February 2026 |

izzou:It was slow and steady we lost our humanity over time in this country. Under Buhari Fulani herdsmen would unalive scores of people in different parts of the country and the government will be more concerned about how the news is reported. They would be busy fighting the media guys for mentioning the tribe of the criminals instead of actually putting in efforts to fight the crime. Wit time they began arguing whether the perpetrators of these killings are Boko Haram, Fulani Herdsmen, Bandits, Unknown Gunmen, etc. I think for reasons best known to them, the government over time has lacked will power to combat these crimes. Instead the spokespersons of respective governments would be focusing on non-issues hoping the news will die a natural death so their principals don't look incompetent and helpless. |

BlueRayDick:He was gunning for political office. Aligned with the President's son too. What it has confirmed, however, based on social media commentary is, young people justify fraud. We are worse than the older generation we lampoon everyday online. Tacitly, we have deadened our conscience to non-violent crimes. We excuse away such. The average Nigerian will defend a scammer who defrauded a significant amount of money (especially from foreigners) as "brain work". Worse even, Nigerians who are openly religious with religious texts on their bios on Facebook and X. Our outrage is only performative, and we only rage on when it's people we aren't related to by ethno-familial links or friendly terms with. I saw accounts which cuss out at Tinubu, Akpabio, and Wike back the guy for fraud, asking him to be let go. And even attacking anyone who calls him out. Once it involves relatives or friends, Nigerians will defend scammers. And women who post about wanting God-fearing men will articulate defenses too while gaslighting the truthsayers as "crabs pulling down others". We are worse than the generations before us, and the supposed leaders of tomorrow will wreck Nigeria. |
