Congratulations Sir. You have done noble.
Please use the knowledge to impact the military for good.

Very impressive CV 💯 Which makes you wonder though, Nigeria has very great knowledgeable people, but why do we allow the bottom of the barrel, lead the political sphere.

Education is useless if it has no character, self challenge to make a difference, application and discipline.

This is largely the reason Nigeria has many PhD holders who cannot add any value to the country, apart from applying to be truck drivers at Dangote Group!
Re: Meet The Nigerian Army's First Professor by naptu2(op): 6:04am On Feb 06
It's got nothing whatsoever to do with the thread. The colonel is not a truck driver at Dangote.

He probably just wanted to post something negative but couldn't think of anything meaningful.

By the way, Sunday Idajili was once a Nairalander and he showcased some of his work on this site (that was in 2013).

For those who said western education is forbidden, what can they say to this officer's great achievement. Will they now change their ideology and stop killing Nigerians.

We celebrate excellence! Nigeria is a great country! We are better together! All we need to do is find our rhythm. We need to ensure that bad behavior have consequences that deter our black sheep from such conduct! Sokoto for uncouth Nnamdi Kanu and transactional loud mouth Sowore and no NBA Patron for Maina the Pension thief who should be with Kanu in Sokoto receiving prison visits from misguided tribal and ethnic jingoists who will flood this space shortly calling me out as an agbadorian when, daily, they love to have akamu for breakfast!!😅😅😅

Nice resume’/CV.

A visit to the Mechatronic Engineering Department he heads will show that he is a mere paper Tiger. That’s Nigerian way. The only way to get the best out of him is to keep him abroad. Nigeria is a dreamkiller.

There's no bile in my comment. You should be worried that your country has lots of professors who don't add any value to this shit-hole.

This moniker isn't a fan of writing congratulations and walking away. If I do that, it's actually dumb because it adds no value to the thread
Re: Meet The Nigerian Army's First Professor by naptu2(op): 7:10am On Feb 06
I often posted this list on Nairaland in 2013. Let's see if I can do an updated version from memory.

Made in Nigeria

1) Air Beetle:

This was unveiled in 1988 and it was the first made in Nigeria aircraft. It was made from kits of VAAN'S Aircraft and it was used as a training and reconnaissance plane by the Nigerian Air Force.

2) Amebo, Gulma 1, Gulma 2 and Tsaigumi:

These are made in Nigeria drones. One of the many things that Professor Imam does is to teach students at the Air Force Institute of Technology how to make the drones. Sid Ajili, a former Nairalander, was one of the students and drone pilots.

3) NNS Andoni, NNS Karaduwa and NNS Oji:

These are made in Nigeria seaward defence boats. They were made by the Nigerian Navy and private Nigerian companies at the Naval Dockyards on Victoria Island and Port Harcourt.

4) Igirigi

This is an armoured vehicle that was made by the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON)

5) Proforce PF1

This is an armoured vehicle that was made by a private Nigerian company

I'll be back with more later
