That's why it had never made sense.
It's a delusion.

If you're a human that question things, your mind will never agree with what does not add up.

But this time, it's different.
It's a choice for humanity at this point to choose if Bitcoin will die or live.

But the whole story of Jeffery Epstein involvement hasn't simmered in well yet, as people are still pouring over millions of Epstein pages and documenting his and Israel's access to bitcoin structure. But the top dogs who already see the trap door have bailed. The panic for the masses is by the corner.
I really don’t get why you are trying so hard to link bitcoin free fall to Jeffery Epstein

So he invested in some early crypto venture capital? What has that got to do with the atrocities he was alleged to have committed for it to affect bitcoin negatively

Bitcoin:
The price of Bitcoin is not down because of the Epstein files, rather it is down partly because Trump nominated a hawkish Fed president to replace Jerome powell. This coupled with frothy valuations of AI companies, high unemployment numbers and fears of a sudden "risk-off" global sentiment. Bitcoin and other high beta stocks are feeling the brunt of it as more investors are fleeing to safety by buying Gold and the U.S dollar.

Bitcoin is a very volatile asset, it has always been and I keep saying it that it will be for many more decades. In the grand scheme of things, it is still a new asset class despite major institutional adoptions, it's history pales in comparison to the stock market for example.

My only advice to anyone reading this comment is to ignore the noise and buy buy buy. Set up a recurring buy order and buy at frequencies are you comfortable with. You can buy $5 every week or every month. Just keep buying but don't try to time the market. Regardless of all the manipulations and distractions, Bitcoin is heading to the moon. You simply have to buy and hold and enjoy the ride.
Another way to make it rise again, and keep it going.

You people always come out to tell people to buy and keep buying once it's falling.
The more people are into it, the less likely it is to crash, right?

Bitcoin was always a scam. It has no Intrinsic value except as a purely speculative asset.
An illusion at best. Nothing tangible.

Given value because a group of people determined so.

You are making too much noise Oga.

BTC is neither your problem nor that of the world at large.

Trying to stir fear about BTC will only lead to the next wave of Bitcoin Millionaires.

An asset that fell all the way to $15000 from $70k is suddenly at its death throes because it dropped to $68k?

Bitcoin's not dead. Despite the recent freefall and controversy surrounding the Epstein files, the cryptocurrency is still trading strong, with a current price of $70,283. The market cap is around $1.53 trillion, showing global liquidity and institutional participation.

The Epstein files did spark rumors and FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) about Bitcoin's origins and connections, but fact-checks have debunked claims of Jeffrey Epstein being Satoshi Nakamoto or controlling Bitcoin's development. The files do reveal Epstein's early investments in Bitcoin-related companies like Coinbase and Blockstream, but there's no evidence of him controlling the cryptocurrency.

Market analysts attribute the recent volatility to profit-taking, global market caution, and derivatives liquidations rather than any structural issues with Bitcoin itself. The cryptocurrency has weathered similar storms before and is likely to recover.

Re: Is Bitcoin Dead And Gone? by grandstar(m): 9:25pm On Feb 06
Last year, I saw Bitcoin hitting $300k within 5 years. The prediction was crazy but for some reason, prefer to stand by it.

The wealthy and instituitions are buying gold in large numbers as a hedge against the inflationary boost by some of Trump's actions. He might soon kick the present Fed Chair out of office because he has not been too enthusiastic doing his bidding.

What Trump wants is for the Federal Reserve to forget its prime function which is to fight inflation for his sake. Trump's wants lower interest rates, so the the economy would enjoy a boom (one he would get credit for), one that will likely turn inflationary, and forcing more money into gold.

Nothing is a coincidence in the financial markets. Bitcoin is not dead and gone; it is aloe and getting ready for the biggest run yet

Why?

Look at the American and European markets. Study their bonds and equities and you'll noice a similar "free fall."

It is the great reset. The U.S. and other countries are resetting their fiat-based economies the hard way.

Institutional investors previously borrowed to buy Bitcoin but as their positions went lower, they now have to sell off other assets to hold their margins.

The great reset is here and it's happening. But Bitcoin is not dead. Not when more financial institutions are interested and governments are stepping in.

This is the market reacting to a deliberate attempt to cheapen certain assets so the governments can stack up as much as they can.

I'm seeing another short-term fall towards $65,000 before any major bullish run.

A question on the lips of market watchers but none has been vocal about it yet.
After the epstein files reveal secrets about bitcoin, it's been on a freefall and no chance of coming back.

So bitcoin is actually dead?

I started buying Bitcoin back in 2013 when it was about $200 a piece. I'm not here to get more people to buy so it wouldn't crash, rather I'm here to tame the fears of emotional investors who haven't experienced a bear market before. Go through my post history, I've always advised people to buy and hold, been saying this same thing for over a decade now. I say the same thing when it's rising and when it's dumping. Heck, I even came out to say people should buy Bitcoin when it hit an All-Time-High of $100,000.

It's funny you say I'm trying to persuade people to buy so It doesn't crash. Like seriously do you think Nigerians as a collective have the kind of buying power to really move the needle of a $1.5 trillion asset? How many nairaland users have the expendable cash to make a dent on it's market cap? Is it the $5 weekly purchase I'm encouraging them to make that will prevent Bitcoin from crashing?

Bitcoin changed my life and that of my household. I have always said people should convert some of their life savings into Bitcoin. It's never too late to get involved today, we are still on a trajectory to exponential new highs. But bear in mind, it will never be smooth sailing. Bitcoin remains the best performing asset class in over a decade. Buy and hold for the long haul.

Bros, please do you believe in SIDRA (SDA)? Do you know about it? It seems you understand these things a lot and can read them well. Your opinion will carry weight as I am trying to learn and decide.

Thanks

in terms of real value.. bitcoin actually have value than any paper currency on earth.. mainly because a paper currency if not tied to a commodity is just a government fiat..a promise note bond ..the dollar was tied to the value of gold in the early part of the early 21st century before it was changed into a fiat.

Bitcoin on the other hand is generated by computing power and alot of electrical energy in the process..those are physical value not a fiat and bitcoin has an ending point a fiat paper money doesn't have an ending point.

Not a supporter of it's astronomical rise tho...just like this current AI noise and valuations it will surely come back to it's real value at a point.

Can anyone remember the .com bubble?same will happen to both AI and bitcoin but will never be dead.
Wow, such an interesting read. I had to go do more research on dot.com bubble and everything became more clearer to me now. I pray history doesn't repeat itself cause many people will go bankrupt.

Bitcoin is going no where.
The price will be affected but take this to the bank Bitcoin will not sell below 50$ and will raise back to 90k$ before the year runs out.

Epstein investing in Bitcoin should not lead to any serious consequence. Did he not invest using other fiat currencies? Why did those currencies not get affected?
