Beeron:
What you should get is hydrogen peroxide 3% for home use.

Pour little inside your ear hold the place up for close to 10 minutes. Do that morning and night.

It will kill the bacteria in there and fight off any infection and debris blockage.

Hydrogen peroxide cost about 15k now.
I strongly disagree with the idea of pouring hydrogen into your ear when you have issue.
He's best bet is to buy antibiotics.

DeclanR avoid putting anything into your ear for now, don't try to itch it or even clean it. Avoid ear plugs for now.
Buy antibiotics and pain reliefs. You'll feel better within a few days

WHAT HAPPENED

I don't know if it's called Earpod, Earbud or Airpod, but it's all earpiece.
So I bought a Bluetooth one, downloaded Spotify playlist app on my phone's playstore and began listening to jamz 24/7 except when I'm bathing. Even at work, I use it.

I wasn't used to using accessories like this.

So, I noticed a pain inside my right ear, later it became a boyl. I felt the pains, took Bicham ampiclox and after a few days, it disappeared.

Now I can't hear with that ear any longer. I can only partially hear with it.

HOW AM I FEELING ?

In the ear, I feel like there's a blockage which is impeding sound. I feel like there's water in there. You know how it is when you're bathing and water enters into your ear? That's how the feeling is, right now. If I'm talking to someone, I feel there is an earpiece hanging in my ear, so I need to speak louder than normal. This is the Third day.
I am worried.
Sounds like you got an ear infection. You should see an ENT doctor ASAP.

Calm down it will gradually go away.
Don’t use the accessory again.
Don’t put your phone on your ear 👂 to answer calls, use speaker instead.
Let your phone rest for a while.
Take enough rest.
You will be fine.

If you like music, try to get something interesting like JBL Bluetooth speaker, stop stressing your ear.

Just leave the ear alone, I know you might be disturbing your ear with some cotton wax.

Well I wish you quick recovery

I suffered sth similar. Hearing was impaired.

Visited an ENT doctor. Ears were washed. I put their advice into practice. Since then, no issues.

The earpiece makes the ear canal warm and conducive for bacteria to multiply.

Visit an ENT Doctor/Nurse

It might not be irreversible. I had an ear operation sometime between 2004-2006 , the ent surgeon was based around toyin street ikeja. My ear has been okay since then. over 20 years. Am not sure if the man still practices again because he looked to be about or close to 60 years old then, but in summary there will be good ent specialists who can access the situation. Best of luck

Stop using anything ear whatever

Don't let technology destroy you
Your statement isn't true. I love music, and I have been listening to music from my teens up till now. Am 35 and still jamming reasonably songs.

1. Always get a good quality earpods. (Am currently using the Tecno bud 4.
2. Listen to music at low volume. Our ears gets sounds everyday, why don't all of us go deaf... He is probably listening at high volume. And I wonder how you guys use this earpods or earphones without that ear rubber on it. Without that it's irritating. Most of the buds come with different size of that rubber, test all and chose the one that fit comfortably.

Sometimes I even forgot I had buds on, when am not listening to music. Also, Noise cancellation really works well on the Tecno bud 4. Sometimes I wear and activates that function. It minimize or block outside noise.

Always listen at low volume with good quality earpods. There are certain instrumentals you will notice when you listening to certain music on good earpods, which you don't get to notice on speakers

Also, let me add. I don't share my earpods. Some people ears are so dirty. If someone mistakenly use it, I gats to clean that rubber with spirit or sanitizer. That's how strict I am. I don't share it. If am not using it. It's always in my bag or pocket. cool

Go to the hospital. It might be the rubber cover at the tip of the earpiece that has dropped in your ear. It is not a difficult thing to remove by experts.
Thank me later.

People of this generation will use their hard earned money to buy what will destroy them eventually. Even your phone warns you that prolonged use of earphones can cause hearing issues in the near future but you ignored it. It is even worse with that Bluetooth earpiece that sends high frequency radio waves directly to your brain yet people put it on without a care in the world.
Go to an ENT specialist to check for the extent of damage and save whatever is left of your hearing before you lose it completely. Go there asap.

Don't panic bro, just stop the use of earplugs and bathing under the regular shower head.

Water do escape into your ear while you are under a shower, especially when the water of high a high pressure.
I have been there, you will loose balance and incomplete...

Use hand/cable shower head instead, that way you can manipulate where and how the water hits you.
Exactly like the type below, or take water from the bucket(the normal old way)
Alright Sir 🙏
Thanks
