I'm sure each time you increase the volume to max, your phone will bring up a prompt, warning you that high volume is capable of causing ear damage, but you think it's just a courtesy from the manufacturers, now you are seeing the purpose of the warning.
Before you visit the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Department of a General Hospital for proper treatment, first stop using any form of ear plug, avoid noises around you in church or party or from sound system, after sometimes you should begin to feel some relief in the ear, but if the condition is getting worse or no improvement, proceed to ENT for proper treatment.
However, if you notice any liquid coming from the ear, get chloramphenicol ear drop immediately and follow prescription on the pamphlet.
Thanks a lot 🙏

huh

You have no much issue, just stop using the ear pod frequently.

Go to a pharmacy, I mean original pharmacy, not a chemist, and explain to them, they will give you ear drop to use every night and morni g, between 2 weeks it will vanish...

It happened to me just exactly how you explained it
Wow

So you don't clean your ear?
NewWorldOrder20:
If you like music, try to get something interesting like JBL Bluetooth speaker, stop stressing your ear.

Just leave the ear alone, I know you might be disturbing your ear with some cotton wax.

Well I wish you quick recovery

Please Doctors, kindly come to my aid.

WHAT HAPPENED

I don't know if it's called Earpod, Earbud or Airpod, but it's all earpiece.
So I bought a Bluetooth one, downloaded Spotify playlist app on my phone's playstore and began listening to jamz 24/7 except when I'm bathing. Even at work, I use it.

I wasn't used to using accessories like this.

So, I noticed a pain inside my right ear, later it became a boyl. I felt the pains, took Bicham ampiclox and after a few days, it disappeared
Honestly, it's also possible that the earpiece shoved earwax deeper into the ear canals or if you were listening to really loud music, a bust ear drum. Either way, you should be seeing an ear specialist and not a pharmacist. PLS do not use local remedies either. You're welcome.

Re: Help! I'm Going Deaf by nonnyCE(m): 5:05am On Feb 07
Prolonged use of ear pods can be injurious to the ear drum. You need to see a doctor fast before it's too late.

How can you be listening to 'jamz' 247? Is that not an abuse? Visit an ear specialist please and may God show you mercy.

Go to the hospital and consult an ear specialist there's a high possibility that ear wax is responsible for your predicament.

Before concluding. See an ear specialist

What you should get is hydrogen peroxide 3% for home use.

Pour little inside your ear hold the place up for close to 10 minutes. Do that morning and night.

It will kill the bacteria in there and fight off any infection and debris blockage.

Hydrogen peroxide cost about 15k now.
Don't follow this advice pls.

Go and see an ENT doctor in a government medical facility. This is not an infection. Prolong listening to earpiece can damage the ear drums and desensitize them.
Re: Help! I'm Going Deaf by AfDapone: 6:31am On Feb 07
Science recently discovered that earpieces can make bacteria grow by 800 percent in short time.

Companies that produce all this stuff know but they are in business.

Otitis media

Op, pray it is not the one o. Nothing has pained me in my life like that thing. lipsrsealed

But I still use airpods around the clock since then.
Ah! The pain!!!!!!!!

I suffered otitis media & otitis externa.
One of them is called swimmer's ear.....that's the one I suffered more.

Now I can't hear with that ear any longer. I can only partially hear with it.

HOW AM I FEELING ?

In the ear, I feel like there's a blockage which is impeding sound. I feel like there's water in there. You know how it is when you're bathing and water enters into your ear? That's how the feeling is, right now. If I'm talking to someone, I feel there is an earpiece hanging in my ear, so I need to speak louder than normal. This is the Third day.
I am worried.
Visit ENT specialist

You better go see an audiologist immediately. Immediately. The chances of correcting a hearing loss diminishes with time.

am not a doctor but I think you most likely have ear wax. Am speaking from experience. Just go the hospital, they will flush it for you.
Re: Help! I'm Going Deaf by olubolaji19x: 7:55am On Feb 07
Op, kindly book an appointment with an ENT specialist, it happened to me and this prompted me to stop using those things. There’s an infection inside the blocked ear, once it’s been washed out and medication applied in over a couple of days, you will regain your hearing again from that ear.
Do not panic, it’s a very curable thing.

sorry op, your case should trigger the needed awareness.
Your inner hair cells has probably been desensitized by prolonged exposure to sounds. . You are likely to suffer from noise-induce hearing loss which is often irreversible. Go and visit an ENT specialist at any teaching hospital for proper diagnosis and management plans. Thank you
Buy endoscope use view the ear first.. Look like mukus from the boil is still sitting inside
Re: Help! I'm Going Deaf by bigl: 8:30am On Feb 07
Its nothing to be worried about ...

Its most likely impacted wax that's blocking you from hearing properly ...

The issue with earbud is it encourages growth of bacteria and wax especially if u don't clean the earbud properly ...

I had a similar issue sometimes last year ... The pain is as a result of the impacted wax, resting on your ear drum ... It was cleared out by a specialist. First few hours/days were strange ... I was hearing so clear that even if a spec of sand drops, i'll hear it...

Just see an ENT doc and they'll most likely flush or find ways to clean your ear which takes less than 1 hour (the cost might blow you out of mother earth though) but its always worth it.

When its done, you'll ear some frequencies (high) that you probably not have been hearing for a long time due to the gradual build up of wax.

And lastly, always listen to your music at less than 50% volume and try get this itel budfit 5 whic doesn't sit in the ear canal but hangs outside ...

That's what i switch to and so far, no issue.

Don't ever advise anyone to try this, i was having scratch in my ear and they put it in my ear, even though the pains has not gone completely, I'm still feeling it after almost two years.

when did you start using it. How much did you get it.
I use it for 3yrs and I stop, there is stress in using it. A good ETN specialist may recommend one for you after examination. Best of luck.
