But we are ready to tax the hell out of Nigerians We are ready to implement 20% tax on income. Ready for VAT of 7% on all consumables. Ready to categorised Nigerians into band A to C and increase the price of electricity. We are ready to demolished makoko without any plan for resettlement of the displaced. But aren't ready to do the right thing....which other African countries have already implemented Real time transmission is necessary As this prevent tampering of result sheets during physical transport from polling units to collation centres where all d evil happens |

With using of it, it will develop our election system and limit elections rigging in Nigeria |
| Re: Nigeria Not Ready For Real-time Transmission Of Election Results – Shagari by helinues: 6:30am On Feb 07 |
That's an obsolete talk. Inverter, solar panel, power bank can handle electricity issue Startlink satellite can handle internet coverage even inside a hole. Those who are beneficiaries of rigging will never support the e transmission of results |

Don't threaten, support or DEFEND violent acts against any person, tribe, race, animals, or group (e.g. rape). |

A country that has been using ATMs for over 30 years. Phones for over 25 years, cannot transmit an election result that goes on for 6-8 hours in a day. |

This should not even be an argument! its long overdue! I have observed that those trying their best to hinder the real time transmission of election results are mostly the older politicians who are either outdated in their knowledge or simply want to determine the outcome of elections through the collation centre! The truth is that what happened at kogi state where there was a pre-filled election result will most likely happen in 2027! This explains why many national assembly members are porting to APC and assenting to the electronic transmission of election results in real time will simply nail the coffin to their political career! |

| Re: Nigeria Not Ready For Real-time Transmission Of Election Results – Shagari by wizelink: 6:37am On Feb 07 |
SlavaUkraini:These same crop of politicians supporting this non mandatory electronic transmission of results in APC would have brought down hell of threats to the Nigerian populace if they were in opposition and the result transmission was not made mandatory. Do not think you will be there forever. if PDP could be defeated while in power, then what makes the current vampires in APC feel they can never lose power. That day will definitely come no matter how much you support undemocratic issues just to fuel your greed and wantom election rigging. |

Then all we do in school is a waste of time if we by them, make no use of them to move forward as a nation. A country of more than 200 million people, about 112 years in amalgamation and about 66 years post independence and in this century defending her no readiness for real time transmission of election results is a joke. If there are no sinister motives underneath, these crops of unprofitable ones will not be blocking the channels to development because they know it will affect them adversely. Let's first give it a try and see the challenges and from there, the feedbacks will help to improve or otherwise, the future ones. |

The one major problem we have in Nigeria is ignorance. The opposition leaders are not ignorant, they know what they are asking for cannot work, but they also know the kind of followers they have, they those set of things don't think, they know whatever they say will be taken hook-line-sinker. Ask them how many of the 1st world countries with centuries of advanced tech than Nigeria are doing real-time and they won't be able to mention..... Many are ignorant of the true meaning of words "Compulsory" and "real-time" in this context Atheistan:Please can you show us where the countries who are doing it "REAL-TIME" and "COMPULSORY"...... Well these guys pushing you lots know you won't take note of those two words |

| Re: Nigeria Not Ready For Real-time Transmission Of Election Results – Shagari by Image123(m): 6:42am On Feb 07 |
TimiofAbuja:Can you explain the readiness? Is there internet in every village, or their votes should not count because there's some mandatory internet need? |

Image123:My dear if terror groups in sambisa can be making skits, when the area is meant to be a supposedly remote and hidden terrains then i dont think we have an internet problem in Nigeria. Exousiang01:Sir, i think you are a bit out of touch with reality. There is no "remote" region in Nigeria without at least a network that works. Even starlink is there, starlink is in space covering all. By the way, sambisa is said to be the most remote forest in Nigeria yet terror groups are running tiktok skits with which network? Baba that remote area thing excuse stopped working 10years ago... |

All these politicians na crooks. They don't want electronic documentation which of course is the best. Just like bribe, they will prefer raw cash in their booths or via cronies than an electronic transfer which has a trail, despite the fact that our payment system is one of the best in the world, I recall south African lady who was amazed by our payment system when she visited. If you know you know |
| Re: Nigeria Not Ready For Real-time Transmission Of Election Results – Shagari by Exousiang01(m): 6:47am On Feb 07 |
tivity101:Young man, Nigeria is not ready for what they are demanding for. Most of you don't even know you are demanding for. When you say Real-time it means it can not be uploaded hours after, when you say compulsory it means any results the isn't uploaded realtime becomes invalid. Now that invalidates results coming from rural areas with access to network. And the world compulsory makes any votes collated manually invalid. Lack of basic education has actually destroyed the young people in this country. They are many villages around the country without network access. Don't villages will not be able to upload the results real-time and even if they take the papers to the centres or INEC office, the results will not be accepted because they are not real-time..... You young people should think, exercise your brains |

atobs4real:Thats not a rational reason to keep hiding under the rock and overseeing impunity. Exousiang01:Nigerians are demanding for what is obtainable in a good number of countries around the globe. It shouldn't be be a crime to want progress. |
