kernniejay:But science has proven the existence of those planets because they've observed them. But heaven and hell only exist in the story book, the Bible. |

Kalulu44:If you are really serious about hunting bush baby, go about 100km far deep into a thick forest in the middle of the night like around 1am to 2am. Hold 3 kola nuts, 3 bitter kolas and 3 walnuts, when you see an iroko tree, go there, then call out to the bush baby to come out and have the nuts. Come back and tell us what you see. |
| Re: 5 Childhood Myths In Nigeria by kernniejay(m): 9:48pm On Feb 07 |
Nteogwuija:Science has not discovered the location of heaven and hell, and may not even be able to discover them if the Creator doesn't want them discovered. This does not mean that anything that is yet to be discovered does not exist. The people that lived in the 15th century would not believe that there are other planets because those planets were not yet discovered during their time and there was no evidence to prove it. |

kernniejay:I no be native doctor nah hahahaha. Actually my quest for it back then took me to a cemetery where me and 5 of my guys camped every night for 4 days. I told them we were looking for bush baby, while I was actually watching out for ghost or is it spirit they called it. Since I was born till 45 now, I haven't seen anything called ghost, I wanted to clear my doubt that's why I went on that adventure. And since I didn't see, it makes me no to believe in ghost |
| Re: 5 Childhood Myths In Nigeria by kernniejay(m): 10:05pm On Feb 07 |
Kalulu44:Well, as for the ghost, some people said they have actually seen them. Most stories about seeing ghost are usually about seeing a dead person reincarnate and migrate to a far distance where they were not known, to start living again like normal human. Some people, even said people that have died appear to their family member or a loved one that is not aware they are dead, the dead would come like he was going somewhere and just stop by to say hello and they go again in a hurry, just to make the last appearance. Later when the news now broke that they are dead, the person would not believe it and argue that he/she just saw the one that is dead and was told that he was going somewhere and quickly branched to say hello. |

Am still scared of number 1... Meanwhile Number 3 is correct |
| Re: 5 Childhood Myths In Nigeria by Kalulu44: 10:17pm On Feb 07 |
kernniejay:See eh! We heard or should I say I heard all these stories tire. Ask anybody that tells such stories and they will tell you "dem tell me o" it is always dem say dem say. Then one day I sat my immediate younger brother who's a pastor down and asked him. Is it true they see people that have died somewhere else, cus the Bible made us to believe "it's appointed unto a man once to die and after that judgement" so who are those people they used to see. And he too calm down and explain to me that, those people they used to see are not really the people or person that died. That it's demons and Angel of darkness that are using their faces to torment or appears to their loved ones. . This almost 10yrs I lost my both parents a year apart. I have never for one day see any of them either in my dreams or real, and none of my younger ones have experience such scenarios either. So my doubting of ghost existence still persist |

kernniejay:But y entertain something if there's no evidence for it? If I came to you and told u that my dad owns MMI airport and intends to sell it without me providing proof of ownership, would you pay whatever amount I ask you to pay for the airport? |
| Re: 5 Childhood Myths In Nigeria by kernniejay(m): 10:36pm On Feb 07 |
Nteogwuija:Your analogy can only partiallly explain the situation we are talking about. First, MMI airport exist and we all can see it, but we can't see heaven or hell, so that analogy doesn't really fit in that aspect. But saying the airport is your own or saying that it belongs to your father without any proof of ownership will make me want to do my due diligence at the ministry of land to find out if it's truly in government record that it belongs to your family. Heaven and hell exist but far beyond reach of any science and technology, how I can find out if it's true is by going into the record of the One that made the whole universe to confirm the existence of both places. |

Kalulu44:I absolutely agree with you. However, you know that Bible records it that a witch called Prophet Samuel that has died out of the ground when King Saul wanted to ask him how the battle with the philistines would be because God had stopped talking to Saul. (1 Samuel 28:3-15). |

@djlyrics It is a hoax. Stop deceiving people with your 1934 mentality. This is 2026 for God's sake! |
| Re: 5 Childhood Myths In Nigeria by Mosco100(m): 11:21pm On Feb 07 |
Rapmoney:You're taking the worst risk any human can take by doubting the reality of Heaven and Hell's existence. |
| Re: 5 Childhood Myths In Nigeria by Rapmoney(op): 11:36pm On Feb 07 |
Jumbojax:I am not surprised. That is why Africa has remained backward. |
| Re: 5 Childhood Myths In Nigeria by Rapmoney(op): 11:41pm On Feb 07 |
kernniejay:Forget this crap you are saying. This is 2026. This is not 1918. That is why Africa has refused to move forward. |
| Re: 5 Childhood Myths In Nigeria by kernniejay(m): 11:55pm On Feb 07 |
Rapmoney:The principles that worked in 1918 are still constant in 2099. Examples are gravity, karma, sowing and reaping, diligence and success etc. Africa will not move forward as long as it continues to have people like you who are quick to discard a hypothesis and lazzy to do a research to find out if it's a fact or not. A European would get up and start working to prove the assertion made earlier but an African would roll in his bed and call it crap. |
| Re: 5 Childhood Myths In Nigeria by Rapmoney(op): 12:03am On Feb 08 |
kernniejay:Listen to yourself. In 2026, you are still here telling us about bush babies and kolanuts, while youths in other climes are using science and technology to change the world, and you still shamelessly mentioned growth and Africa? You should not have mentioned growth and Africa at all, considering your narratives. What impact have people made in the world with kolanuts and bush baby stories? Same Africans who claim they possess spiritual powers to disappear or stop bullets in the air were subdued by the whites. Where were the gods and spiritual powers? Maybe they were on vacation in Maldives. |

kernniejay:Yeah true that, that's sorcery and in the old testament. God abolished that thru the coming of Jesus Christ in the new testament. It was later forbidden |

Rapmoney:You think there were no sorcery, witchcraft and spiritual powers in other continents apart from Africa? Then your ignorance must be superb. FYI, I'm not here to promote voodoo, or advocate use of 'juju' power, my initial conversation with the original person I was replying (before you meddled into what is not your business) was because he said he had tried to haunt bush baby to no avail and I told him what he can do. To you, kolanut is not relevant in 2026? Wow. If China alone has just half of the amount of herbs and roots that you people have in Nigeria, the advancement they could have recorded in science and medicine would have nearly made people immortal. In Africa you have good weather, favourable climate, good soil, natural resources in abundance, yet you can't make good use of these things for your development but you abandon them and keep running to America or Europe for survival. That is why organisations in Europe will come to your country to import your cocoa, cotton, gold, rubber, crude oil and still bring them back to sell for you in form of chocolates, coffee, fabrics, jewelleries, tyres, petroleum at exorbitant prices. I reiterate to you again that you people in Africa won't grow or make much progress because you see yourselves as inferior people, you people don't know what you have and you are contented with the little you know. That is why other continents like Asia have left you far far behind. |
| Re: 5 Childhood Myths In Nigeria by Rapmoney(op): 5:00am On Feb 08 |
kernniejay:You still ended up saying nothing other than a long epistle of glorified ignorance. |
| Re: 5 Childhood Myths In Nigeria by Nteogwuija(m): 5:06am On Feb 08 |
kernniejay:Lol, you claim heaven and hell exist with so much confidence yet no proof, but u entertain the veracity of their existence, even sounding like an authority. Here I am telling u that my dad owns MMI(something that truly exists) but I can't provide proof of ownership(just like u couldn't provide any proof that heaven or hell exist), yet you won't buy my airport that I'm trying to sell to u. Is it because I'm not a pastor 😭😭 How convenient! |
