Progress update on Sokoto - Badagry Super Highway: Sokoto Section
The 1,068 km Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway is a major, ongoing Federal Government infrastructure project (awarded to Hitech Construction Company Ltd) intended to connect Sokoto (Northwest) to Badagry in Lagos (Southwest). The six-lane concrete project crosses seven states—Sokoto, Kebbi, Niger, Kwara, Oyo, Ogun, and Lagos—designed to boost economic integration and agricultural trade.

I hope that these concrete roads will later be coated with asphalt because left like that, they will damage the tyres of cars. |

2 kilometre concrete in 3 years... how many years will it take to complete the total distance of 1100 km? THIS IS PROPAGANDA ... JUST LIKE THE FAKE IMOTA RICE MILL AND ABUJA RICE PYRAMID |

Has anyone ever condemned this Sokoto-Badagry super highway before? No! Atiku will always pretend as if he isn't aware of it. Peter Obi doesn't have courage to condemn it. All the northerners keep mute and look the other way round. But come to the southern Lagos-Calabar coastal road, Peter Obi was the first person to condemn it. All his IPOBIDIENTS followed suit. Atiku and his followers also joined in the bashing. But they're all blind to Sokoto-Badagry road 😕 |

IkeOnyia:No need, it is very good like this for both for the road and users |

Waste of resources. People from sokoto have been coming to lagos so what is the usefulness of this road. The money spent on this road, costal highway should be invested in power. A country of 200m using 5000mw is not serious about industrialization |

The only reason I see for the construction of this road was to false mirror the coastal road in Lagos. In case the northerners shout 'where is out own' they'd show them this. Just like the Lagos Calabar road, Sokoto-Badagry was even mentioned by past administrations because they knew there are scores of other road infrastructure that deserve more attention. At least, the Lagos section of the coastal road would open up a lot of economic opportunities along the corridor. But we can't say the the same for SBR. There's a road that already connects Sokoto to Kebbi and the traffic is not over stretched. Dualisation of that road is enough to boost business activities there. I reiterate that the SBR is not even top 10 road projects the north needs. Enough of this deception to siphon money. |

nedu666:the good book says be fruitful and multiply, APC says no, be unfruitful and be gallivanting up and down along highways. Power is not important to them. Security of productive hands isnt of utmost priority but security of destructive elements is. Kidnapping is part of GDP to them. Islam and satanic cults is the ultimate religion for them. |

IkeOnyia:It’s crazy how Nigerians keep applauding this guy and it will be another major project laying asphalt and consequently the maintenance of the road will be so high,it won’t be workable❗️ |

President Bola Tinubu and his supporters are advancing Nigeria anchored on demonstrable achievements, while others persist in the dissemination of falsehoods. The opposition would be better served by consolidating their resources into productive ventures—perhaps even a catfish farming enterprise that delivers tangible value to Nigerians. In their present state, they fall far short of qualifying as a credible opposition ahead of 2027; seldom has such political inadequacy been so starkly evident in democratic history |

IkeOnyia:the coastal area is the soft ground that needs concrete and not the north where they build houses without foundation. |

House, how safe is the rod content in it? The magic the government did to prevent bandits from disrupting construction should be extended to the whole Sokoto state for a start. |

IkeOnyia:Valid point, that's actually the standard in Europe. But this can always be done later as an additional project. It only requires light asphalt, so it would be easier to do once the initial road is completed. I also suggest you send this to any ministry or parastatal handling it, via social media cos it's a good addition. |

Raf4:From a few posts today I can't help but notice there must be mention of Obi's name between first to fourth comment. 😆 APC has obviously employed lazy youths who'll be paid with data and cheap phones Nigeria youths will never succeed to be leaders.. Good thing is we have left the country to give our kids a brighter future in a sanner country |

| Re: Update On Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway From Sokoto Section by 360command: 4:12pm On Feb 08 |
IkeOnyia:bro, there are advanced countries using concrete roads which does not destroy their tyre. Concrete road is good for our Africa where we know we lack the maintenance. A good concrete road should last for 10 to 15years unlike asphalt which last for 2 to 3 years. |
