Abuja, Feb 8, 2026 - A 2022 statement by COZA Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, resurfaced on X, has sparked debate. He claimed Igbo Christians are "stingy" and struggle to donate to God, citing their work ethic but reluctance in church giving.

Yes Igbos are stingy to a large extent, and that's because for most of them, each kobo they have has a name on it and that is why their success in business remains unmatched

I'm not sure he is trying to play tribal card likely he is just trying to say something else but was misconcepted because I don't think again after Babalola erroneous statement that nearly crippled his ministry he will make the mistake to say this in a tribal tone I doubt it.

Till I watch the video then I will know in order to avoid blowing unconfirmed statement out of proportion and cause tension.

If he actually said this,he is talking trash.
Igbos are mainly Catholics and you can hardly see any catholic church struggling to build their structure thanks to igbo businessmen who donates generously towards such venture.
If he is looking for Igbos to come and donate to his vanity,he will wait till eternity.
