It is you that is creating the name corruption or worldliness. As far as God is concern, everything he created, whether you see them good or not are clean and holy before him
So why do we now need Jesus then if your statement is true?

do you expect me to go about looking for scriptures that mention anything about tattoo or dreadlocks?
Ofcourse there is nothing like that.
Just like you will never see scriptures saying anything about applying creams to your skins, and you people don't see anything bad in it
we all know what God's will are.
Certainly, not putting on tattoo is not one of them.
God's will are Love God with your heart and love your neigbour as yourself.

All these your tattoo laws nor join
that's the problem!
People keep imitating people or fear what people will say for nothing.

Personally, putting on tattoo will not put food to my table that's why i don't care to have one one me.

Why will someone put on tattoo because he sees it on a pastor or anyone?
Can't you just put on your tattoo for whatever reason best known to you and leave pastors or people alone?

The only way we can subject to God's will is to love God and men.
Not tattoo or no tattoo.

How tattoo come concern God who is a spirit that lives in the body?

You see this una African mentality go fade very fast because it lack substance.
Go and do your research and see how life used to be in Nigeria some 80 years ago.

you are just wasting your time promoting man made traditions that will certainly fade away, but the main values of ethics, personal education and development you people ignore them

And you know
what will be will surely be 100 years or 200 years after we all died.

I don't need to preach it

Believe in him and have your everlasting life, simple.

Is that difficult?
I don't think so
It is something you have already.

If it is something you have already, what is then the place of tattoo and dreadlocks?
How does tattoo affect your salvation?
Absolutely nothing.

So just leave people who want to tattoo or deadlock let them be.

Where did you read your own old Testament that wearing dreadlocks or tattoos are frowned at?
Leviticus 19:28, which states: "You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the LORD".

What is gambling?
Who told u Christians are running away from old testament?
Gambling includes bettins, lottos, predictions, etc all for money in the midst of uncertainties without business transaction!

Why are Christians not following chapters like Deuteronomy 20 that describes how to go to war?

for the church it is nothing as you have said... But at my place of work some one was fired for that same tattoo ...if we claim to know God there are some certain things we should just do away with....

And you did not see that it's obviously one carried out for pagan ritual that's referred to here
What about wearing of dreads?
Meanwhile, can you show us from your quran or the bible where you guys got the idea of praying for the dead

Will you take serious a male evangelist if you see him sagging his trouser to preach? If a so-called born again christian goes to bleach his or her skin, or goes for BBL, will you take them serious?

Now if you say: "show me in the Bible where doing dreadlocks for guys is a sin". What if I tell you to show me in the bible where sagging trouser & wearing big chain, smoking weed and bleaching are clearly called sin? you may never find it: but are they good for a born again Christian? Never.

If you are truly a born again Christian
, you must walk in the Spirit. You cannot be worldly or fleshly: and if you truly have the Spirit of God working in you, He can never tell you or permit you to do tattoo, dreads etc. It is only the fleshly and worldly nature that can make someone desire to appear like the world.

A true born again Christian must align with Jesus Christ always, and will never put up an appearance that will hinder the gospel or create doubts in the mind of those who will receive the gospel from them.

Note: God will never adjust His standards to fit into the world or trends. And If you say things have changed, God's holiness and judgement in eternity has not changed.
What is the emphasis on 'born again'? Is there a Christian that is not born again? What is the meaning of 'born again' Christian? What is the difference between a Christian that is a 'born again' and the Christian that is not a 'born again'? Can there be a Christian that is not 'born again'? Were there Christians in Anthioch that were not born again?

Anyone whom the LORD has converted into his way is free from the Satan's chokehold. We walk in liberty not in bondage. Whatever you do in your flesh will be paid in your flesh, this is the law.

born again! born again! born again! What is the meaning of born again?

What makes makes gambling a sin is when it affects other person. Example if your child is need of school fees of 20k instead of of u to use that 20k to pay for ur child school fees u used it for gambling that is a sin.
But if u use 100 naira to gamble instead of using the money to drink and it doesn't affect any member of your family it is not a sin.

We gamble in various ways and anything u do in excess is a sin even the food u eat.
Over feeding or wasting food can be a sin.

Coming to old testament since Christ came to the world he abolished so many things that was being established in the old testament.
In old testament there is a particular portion that says an eye for an eye.
But Jesus says no rather if somebody slapped u in one cheek turn the other cheek for the person.
How will you feel if Christians practice an eye for an eye system.

They were pkaied bcus Peter admonished the Law on them instead of handing them over to Grace.
Remember when Jesus Christ resurrected , He breathed in them and told them whoever sin you forgive , is forgiven him. The Apostles were in their innitial ministry stage, you will never find such thing in the new Testament after that.

Tatoo or no Tatoo none of Us is worth receiving anything from God, the Op might be even secretly doing something worse than tatoos.
Legalist wannabe like the op projects salvation by outward look, deed or works, but the Bible already said by works shall no man be justified .

You are only saved through the Blood of Jesus by Grace through Faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Dont let anyone drag You into Salvation by works bcus people can be very hypocritical , God is the only One who can search the heart of man.
Just submit your soul to Jesus Christ , set your heart to behold Him as in a mirrow through the Word of God, then you will be changed right from the inside .

Since not wearing Tattoo cant take you to heaven, that means wearing tatoo cant stop you from going to heaven, the only sin that can take one to hell is not BELIEVING THE GOSPEL.
Their kpaying was a lesson that is why you never see it again.

The road to salvation includes work and Peter, Paul and James did state so. It is you who must change yourself and flee with your own legs from fornications and adulteries, and drunkenness and tatoos. That is the proof you believe because "he does not believe that does not live according to his belief" Sigmund Freud

You’re a selective practitioner of the gospel. Deuteronomy 14:26. Isaiah 44:5. Galatians 2:11-14. Read these verses Mr. You’ll stop saying these hypocritical doctrines.
All these are off point and even pastor Kingsley knew that they do not hold which is why he did not say them. There is no defence here.

No Salvation affect the decision to get tattoo. Tattoo has never been associated with anything Godly, so why should a Christian get tattoos

Where on earth did you read in the Bible dat Salvation is by works?
Did you not read plainly that by works shall no man be justified ?? James was talking about doing the good work of God as evidence of Faith not self righteousness works, works like caring and loving your neigbors, the needy, less priviledge are the works that prove your faith not religious rasmatas and dogmas. Salvation is a GIFT not of works or deeds less any should boast.
If it is by works , be rest assured that the average Hindus and monk will attain it before a good number of Chritians for they seek absolute self righteousness agenda.

If you hold onto salvation by works then you have shifted to the side of the law and have no right to call yourself a Christian.

So what works did the thief on the cross who Jesus took to heaven do to deserve entering into the Kingdom of God?

We have so many hypocritical spiritually miserable two faced Christians bcus people have preached a distorted Gospel created in the minds of legalistic wannabe men who seek to put a control measure on people to comform to the morality they have created in their mind. Have you kept all 613 laws? If you fail one, you have failed everything, dont be hypocritical, man can never do enough or be good enough to deserve Salvation. You are saved by nothing else but by the BLOOD of JESUS CHRIST which was given by the Grace of God. What God requires from you after Salvation is to behold Jesus Christ as in a mirror so you can be changed into His image, how do you behold Christ? By selling yourself to the WORD of God, this is how true change comes from within.
You obviously have not read Apostle Paul's letter, He was very constant with Salvation by absolute Grace and Faith in Jesus Christ, zero works. Infact He says in his letter to the Galatians, "if you seek to add works to your salvation, you have fallen from Grace.

If your works can earn you Salvation why then was the sacrifice on the cross necessary??

Seek to follow God in the spirit not religious rasmatas.

I said "The road to salvation includes work" and you have even admitted it in saying "doing the good work of God as evidence of Faith...works like caring and loving your neigbors, the needy, less priviledge are the works"

So in the end you still confirmed what i said that the road to salvation includes work.

And in addition to all the works you mentioned the Bible explicitly stated that fleeing from fornications and adulteries, and drunkenness and tattoos are all works which you must do to obtain salvation or do you deny that this is not stated?

And based on your idea of what works are, then you ought to see that the thief on the cross still did work and obtained salvation.

Because Philippians 4:8 also states the works we should do/not do.

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

So, by Philippians 4, the outright condemnation of this tattoo proves it is not a thing that is seen as pure, virtuous or of good report.

The arguement about a Christian drawing tattoo is like the argument about consumption of hard drugs. Some consumers of hard drugs can resist indulging in crimes. But over 98% of those who consume hard drugs are into one crime or the other, and had drugs are harmful to the body. Should you now encourage people to consume hard drugs because consumption of hard drugs cannot be proven to be a sin? Over 98% of people who get tattoos are into one vulgar lifestyle or the other and the tattoo is harmful to the skin. Therefore, why are we arguing about whether it is right or wrong for a Christian to get tattoos? Taking shisha is not a sin. But shisha is harmful to the body and over 98% of those who take shisha are into vulgar lifestyles. BBL is not a sin. But over 98%, if not 100%, of the ladies that do BBL do it for seduction and BBL is harmful to the body. Will you encourage Christians to do BBL because BBL is not a sin in the Bible? Have you asked yourself why many people who got tattoos before becoming Christians try to remove the tattoos after becoming Christians? The answer is simply because those people are no longer proud of both the inspiration and the meaning of the tattoos on their skins.

What most of the ladies that do BBL are known for proves what inspires BBL and what BBL can lead to. What most consumers of hard drugs are known for proves what inspires consumption of hard drugs and what the consumption can cause in most cases. What most of the people that get tattoos are known for tells what inspires tattoos and what a tattooed skin can attract in most cases. This is reality, not profiling. So, why are we arguing about whether it is right or wrong for a Christian to get tattoos? Do not just look at tattoos on human skin, look at the foundation of tattoos.

What is the spiritual or health benefit of tattoo? If there is none, Christians should not get tattoos. Getting tattoos before becoming a Christian is different.

Tattoo is not a sin. But it is unsuitable for Christianity. Those who support Pastor Kingsley just because tattoo is not a sin should try to prove that tattoo is godly.

As it cannot be proven to be a sin, it equally cannot be proven to be godly. Therefore, what is the essence of you getting tattoos after becoming a Christian?

It is not just about a Christian getting tattoos. Christians are expected to live an examplary life. A Christian can get tattoos and still be able to control himself without indulging in the sinful things that most of the people that get tattoos are known for. But a Christian getting tattoos can cause those looking up to the Christian to deviate because by the time those people get tattoos,.those people will not be able to control themselves over the sinful things that an average person with tattoos indulge in.
