They were still making dough compared to today's inflation. However, Nxt talents are making more than Julian, Mariah and Matt Striker earned.
I still don't get why talents pay for local travel and hotel fees themselves.
Why not just get a team bus or plane?

Probably because they all live in different states. That said, WWE is screwing them over by not paying for their flights.

they didn't really release a statement to that effect. I only know about their flight and hotels which AEW pays for.

I'm still afraid for him. I feel people are hyping him a little too much and pushing (the fans not company) him too fast he may crash and burn. Let them give him competent matches to wrestle consistently with top guys who can compete. Then, we can know if Oba is all entrance and shouting, or he's got it.
