Unless you have a backup support system, don't go to the Uk... many who went there in the last 2 years won't be honest with you. I left Nigeria 13 years ago, so I am not in Nigeria, neither am I in the Uk. My sister was part of the last Sept batch, a successful banker who could raise 20M all by herself in 2 years...... She has been finding it difficult ever since...At least, i pay half of her rent 800/400 pounds every month, if I don't, she will be in problem. Her job could only fetch her 800 pounds a month, and that's her rent alone.

Be wise, travelling is good, but know where you are going, do the analysis.

You won't find job immediately, you will pay rent, transport, feeding, adapt to weather, and other miscellaneous. It is not funny. 25M is a child's play in Uk today, if you have 40M, ok, you can endure till you find your feet.
With what I’m hearing about this UK like this. And I was thinking of going through the student route for masters. You mean your sister is being paid 800 pounds a month or after every expenses from her salary she’s left with 800 pounds ?

Anyway, chief which country can I go to ? Australia, Finland, the Netherlands? Etc

Canada of late isn’t smiling that much also. Nawa

I am planning of travelling to the UK for my Msc programme. My main purpose of travelling is as a means of jakpa not that I really need the Msc. I sold the land i bought in Asaba in 2018 for N22m. I plan to use the money for the tuition fee deposit ( £5,000) and other travel expenses. The complete tuition fee is £15,330. I will study and work in other to pay the remaining balance.

My plan is to remain in the UK and work after my study. Please I need your advice.
Travelling abroad is good. Seek advice from those already there and those doing what you intend doing. Staying back is also good if you are able to do apprenticeship under a trusted business mentor while you use the money to buy another genuine land in a very secure area.

My brother, listen carefully: now that you have the opportunity, you must act decisively. Don’t hesitate for a second.

The pain or loss may feel substantial and immediate, but trust me, in the long run, it is a valuable investment—not just for you, but for your family, particularly your children. Given the current economic challenges Nigeria is facing, with no clear resolution in sight, you need to travel. Seize this moment and make the most of it while you can.

It is not my place to insist what you have to do with your money but if I had that money, I would import clothes from Vietnam and household items and some car parts from China, then let the money work for me instead of forcing myself into a society that will not accept me, chain me into their economic machine while loneliness will become my middle name.
He will learn the hard way. It will take him almost 20 years of hard work to be able to gather that 22 million. Let's not waste advise, he will learn by experience.

Which country to japa to? You guys keep saying this. The UK is still one of tje best if you know what you are doing. Or na Care job you want him to go do after his studies? He has graduate visa to stay behind and look for a good job. And at worse, he can still pick up that care job and plan ahead..he will make money gradually. You have no other alternative for you, but you keep saying nonsense.
Guy, there are lots of countries doing far better than UK, UK changed their student visa after studies stay rules recently and still want to make it more difficult soon.

Austria and Japan are better and cheaper options but I know stereotypes like u will come up with language barrier forgetting that lots of our people are amazingly well in those places

the problem with that 22million naira is that if you're not well-trained in business, since you are Igbo, if you didn't do "igba boy", learn under a successful business master, for some years, then its a huge risk because the business may fail. If you don't have a successful coach in the line of business you're choosing who has accepted to mentor you the business may fail because as you are learning the ropes and making mistakes, you may be losing money and by the time you've fully learnt the ropes, the money may be depleted to a level you need to borrow or sell land again to restock enough and make impact. Moreso because Nigerians are poorer now and due to inflation, can not afford most things they use to afford before. Very high inflation so many people can't afford things so make very good inquiry on what is selling under this inflation economy before you key into it. Otherwise if you're afraid of all these risks and didn't grow up in a business background, my brother carry the money and japa. If you exhaust it in UK, if you are hardworking you can gain back the money by buying another land in another remote area, or investing in other things that will increase your savings earned from UK hustle, at least you'll be in environment where if you blow the money, you have hope of remaking it in no distant time. Annoying thing with Nigeria is if you blow any huge money, e fit take you 10 years or more to remake it back legitimately unless you're into fraud or politics or hard drug sales. So in otherwords it is very risky to lose in business in Nigeria because there is no support or another means of making it back. Still, some people still succeed in business while some others lose. The economy is just so messed up but some people still make it in the economy, while others don't. Its your choice to make. If you're willing to go to UK, be ready to work and work very very hard . And if you're ready to stay in Naija, be ready to endure if the money goes down cause another opportunity go hard.
Golden Suggestion

Make I add my mouth for this matter.
Me na there I dey. To say it in simple words, I no go advice you make you come.
The hustle here no be for the faint hearted. You will need to earn everything you get here. No Favour's, no anticipate any. People wey you bin dey look up to for here go fail and betray you. You will start from the scratch Work no too dey like that even the menial ones go do you guy (cleaning Oo, factory or even care work) etc.
Coming as a student without full tuition and up keep na big challenge, almost a No No. make I calculate your earnings for you. As a student you get only 20 hours to work in a week when school dey on. That brings your total earnings to 20 X 4 X £12.21 = £976.8. Government go share small with you because you just come. Rent go take about £400 depending on city. If na only you maybe your bills go dey like £150/month. You will most likely to be left with about £350-£400 per month. When you go fit gather am pay your remaining tuition. Ming you the school go dey write you love letter everytime like babe say dem still dey. Na Naija you go still run back to for bail out.
People say travel because of family, that na dey biggest deception and reason to travel. You family is what you will loose first if you come here. Your wife go grow horns and your children no go dey hear you again. E go do you like film.
If you come manage finish school, immigration settle matter go start, you will need a company to sponsor your stay. If not you will need post study visa which go give you only 18month at about £2600 if na only you. Na that high jump you go dey till you go begin reason your life......
inside all this one, cold go dey mama your body, better food to see chop na problem.

If you must come reason am well. No be only school be the way. Other was dey but my brother na scammers full that road. That pesin wey dey talk like say him be better pesin go chop you now now. Dey suffer don change plenty good people.

If you get better business for Naija, focus and grind am to success. The energy you need to make your business in Naija work is small compared to what require to survive here!

Las las you go dey alright.
grin grin grin grin

Which county you come suggest to us wey wan go through the student route for masters and see good income too!

I'll advice you to set the money aside and work on yourself.

Read your Bible, Study it, Understand it, Have your relationship with God renewed and your character built, Let God break you an remould you during this process's.

Learn the Patience, Planing, Prayer that businesses need to succeed from the Bible, Set your life apart and take time to look inward.

Any business you you do make, sure nothing nothing nothing nothing nothing nothing makes you touch 50%. even if it's travelling abroad.

Go to China to do your master's which is cheaper than the UK. Use the rest of the money to start a business in China at the same time you are doing your master’s. It is a win-win. Good luck.

My brother.. if you have sure link to leave this country, please do .. not just because of you .. but because of your kids , raising them in a sane environment, where they will grow normally and have better health care, good school and a better government that care about the citizens.. even if it's not UK , you can find a cheaper and better European country.. bro sME Dey close down for this country everyday .. no light , taxes from left , right and center.. we don’t have a central tax system, anybody ( agbero) go come with uniform collect from you go , another one to come collect .. cost of running businesses in Nigeria no be joke .. and the system is not helping SME at all ..
my brother a child brought in Nigeria is better than the one in the west Sir.

You lack experience why.

If you complete the Msc today ....what is the possibility of you getting a suitable job considering your immigration status and the increasing policing in the UK? If things don't work out and you have to return ... what will you be returning to and what will you do for a living?

If you need to travel and study ....with the money you have I'll advise you learn a skill short in supply but of great demand in Nigeria . Look at the present...and the future .... elevator technician as an example. More buildings are being equipped with elevators .... it's not easy finding someone to do the repair or maintenance. Just saying.

Go to Germany or Austria instead, if you are interested
Reasons:
1. A lot of courses/programmes taught entirely in English in a lot of universities
2. very low of free tuition, so you save big on your tuition fees
3. you have the chance to stay and work after your studies.
4. Germany's economy is the biggest in Europe and offers more job opportunities.
5. more stable immigration rules, so you can plan better. Not like UK where they change the rules every now and then

It s not about what he does for a living as long as it a legal work. If you stay in a good country after some years, you can afford to buy plenty of land in Nigeria.

Rather than waste those funds on a Masters degree in UK, I suggest you apply to the US EB1 or EB2 visa to see if you qualify as it gives you a fast track to green card and citizenship status. It is also not as expensive as a UK MSc.

You are better off with any route that does not waste your time splurging on a degree that you might find tough to get a job with, so use the funds to gain entry into a country that offers a track to citizenship, learn an in-demand skill in that country that enables you to secure a job once you land in that country.
Good advice.
