Hi everyone, I got to Germany on a student visa earlier this year and my fiancee applied for a family reunion appointment date in March (since it takes time, we were hoping we would have gotten married before she got called). Unfortunately, I can not go to Nigeria until March next year for the wedding. We are hoping she is not called for the interview before then. Is there anything we can do? Should she apply for another date?

I don't think there's anything to be worried about yet. The rate of appointments isn't that fast so you should have completed all the marriage rites by the time you do get an appointment.

This is not correct ..German proficiency is not needed for English courses . More importantly, it is not needed for a work visa . You can just advertise your stuff without dropping wrong information. For a program in English what is the essence of German proficiency?

Like IS IT that they dont know that some FRV Go through lawyer verification and all that ...while Blue Card receives a waiver... The distinction needs to be for the Sake ON those ON norma FRV Not Blue Card..

Isn't it a rule that if you came in as a student unmarried, you must stay at least 2 years before going back to your home country to get married for the FRV to be approved?

If you don't mind, can you share which city you're in and if this doesn't matter?

I have a question ,if on the day of your interview for family reunion you didnt pay for verification, because they asked you not to, does this mean they won't verify you, or does it mean you may be asked to pay for it on a later date, or does it mean they may do the verification even wothout you paying for it??

if they didn't take verification fee from you, it mean they will skip the verification process, it is not needed because of your spouse resident profile in germany.

The embassy has reached June 11th, 2024 as at today. Appointment dates were not given last Friday, so they just rolled out some today.
