Potential exists, but Nigeria’s poverty is a choice of extraction over production. True wealth is found in adding value, not just digging resources out of the ground. This isn't news or new!

"Serious Nigerians" must stop pointing fingers and start building human capital. If we had no excuses, our only path would be mastery of skills and manufacturing.

This shift requires electing competence at every level, from councilors to governors. We must move from a mindset of "collecting" to a culture of "creating" and solving. The gap between potential and prosperity is bridged only by our own productivity.

Nigeria is Lucky to be on the list because we are not a manufacturing country. Also the population of Nigerians that own cars are minimal or less in number. Most of those countries on the list are among the top manufacturing countries in the world ranging from car, aeroplane, super machines etc

People pointing at the Congo forget that their natural resources that is very critical to modern technology, is the reason the country have been deliberately destabilized and war torn for decades by people that needed those resources

They are even doing much better than the so called countries that are rich in natural resources.

Have you been to Sochi, St Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Moscow, Kazan, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Ufa, Novosibirsk?

I dare you to mention one city in the US and Europe better and more developed than these cities i mentioned.

Factories shutting down. Businesses going bankrupt, even 100 years old businesses.

The entire Europe and US is ridden with debt. Debt that they can never pay off.

Una go just dey type rubbish online with no foresight. How wud Europe be destroyed with poverty if Africa hold on it it's resources! Does Africa even know what to do with the resources anyways? Was it not Europeans who helped ur fire fathers discovered these resources? Dr Congo that's very rich in those resources doesn't know what to do with them,they're begging US to help them explore the resources.

Don't know why kids just litter this nairaland. Netherlands alone will feed all of ur African countries combined.
