B2kbolaji:You can use your VFS slip to register, but I will advise that if you are going to a school that has tuition remission, you wait till you can sort your visa issue before you register, preferably you resume in the second semester. Goodluck |

Hello guys, I applied for an eVisa visa via the vfs website. I plan to to spend 4 days and return to Nigeria on 6th April and my passport expires on 5th July 2026. I have received a message from vfs stating that I should re-upload a passport that expires 90 days after the day I depart South Africa. I have uploaded a letter of explanation stating that the passport is still valid for 90 days after I return but I got the same email again. What can I do? |

Pls someone should explain to me how South Africa Consulate Lagos works. I applied for a study visa on the 25th of November last year and nothing is out yet meanwhile my friends who applied in January, 2026 have gotten their visas approved. I really don't understand. Are they doing first in last out or last in first out 🤔. It is well. |

The South African Visa Process has being monetized Allegedly. If you go online, you find many selling and promoting emergency visas. This information is subject to resource gathered online. |

hunee:Yes, Nigerians have corrupted them with money because of our desperation, haste, and lack of patience for due process. Their eyes sef come open pass. Its in our blood to seek ways to undermine/compromise a system or process for personal advantage. All the visa application processing centres have been compromised. Early appointments are being sold now. For some countries, the manipulation and corruption stays only at the Visa application centre, but for SA, it has penetrated into the sacred grounds of their embassy. The UK people put the necessary measures in place to reap from our hasty nature. You want early quick appointment, pay for it officially, despite that it won't influence the outcome of your visa application. Lol |

No wonder. Some of our people are not good at all. We must cut corners before achieving anything. Our society doesn't value merit base system. It's a shame. hunee: |

| Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by tpain121: 9:49pm On Feb 07 |
chevchenko:Im not sure they accept hotel reservations from booking.com . Go to VSF and gave those boys hustling there to book a hotel for you, or book an Airbnb with the hosts phone number for easy verification. |
| Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 11:05pm On Feb 08 |
I have alot to say but I just leave it here. It is not about cutting corners. The system has always been corrupt. I mean the Department of Home Affairs. If you have been to Pretoria or any of their other centers , you will understand better. The highest bidder gets the auction, Nigerians only amplified the situation over recent times with their selling fast track visas for millions which in turn has made South African Visas fully monetized and difficult to acquire for genuine visitors. Good luck all and read about SA DHA issues and corruption portfolio over the last decade. Many of their officers has been relieved of their duties over these illicit practices. Goodluck all.

SuperL:WARNING TO VISA APPLICANTS ⚠️ Be cautious of scammers on this platform, especially on this thread. A scammer reached out to me claiming that I quoted his post and was offering a visa approval link within 48-72 hours for 130,000 NGN. He provided a fake account detail and disappeared after I unraveled his identity. Red flags: - Unsolicited messages claiming to offer visa services - Requests for payment via unverified account details - Stay vigilant and prioritize your safety! |

I keep getting a response of invalid statement. I have tried both vfs and dha but I keep getting the same response of invalid statement. I have also gone to the bank to print a physical statement but still the same response. |

You can register using your VFS slip if you plan to study from Nigeria. However, if you are coming to a school with tuition remission, I would advise that you wait until you receive your visa before registering. Ultimately, the decision is yours. Good luck. |

Hi everyone, I recently applied for a SA eVisa from DHA website and realized that the first and middle names were accidentally interchanged. The visa has already been issued, but it doesn’t match the passport exactly. Has anyone experienced this before? Will this cause problems at the airport? I’ve contacted DHA for a correction but haven’t heard back since. Thanks in advance for any advice! |
