Nigerians, start to learn how to appreciate your own and stop looking at other people's lives/work to attach yourself. It speaks of insecurity and lack of self-esteem. One of the reasons why mixed race children or children born abroad will always identify with their African roots is because of ACCEPTANCE. Africa will always accept you, the other people will always remind you you are not from them even if you look it. They will color you with an artificial colour black and lump you into Black History Month because they are not interested in you. They never want to see you big and confident. They want to give you parts of the movie they created and the role they created for you. That's their own perception they want to keep for us and that is not your truth unless you own your own story, be proud of it and tell it.

Put that energy into holding your elected public officers to account. Charity begins from home. Charity begins at home. Charity never begins outside.
