WASE (Plateau State) — The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has approved the immediate deployment of Special Forces to Plateau State in a bid to address persistent security challenges in parts of the state, particularly Wase Local Government Area.

Wase LGA has in recent months witnessed repeated attacks by bandits and other non-state actors, with several communities, including Dogon Ruwa and parts of Bashar District, reporting incidents of killings, kidnappings, and destruction of property.

Reacting to the development, the Plateau State Government Liaison Director for Security Agencies, Hon. Ziphion Chrysanthus, described the deployment as a decisive and commendable step towards restoring peace in the affected communities.

He said the presence of the Special Forces would provide much-needed relief to residents and significantly strengthen ongoing security operations in the area.

According to him, the swift approval of the deployment underscores the commitment of the Nigerian Army leadership to safeguarding lives and property, as well as stabilising communities impacted by insecurity.

Chrysanthus also called on residents of Wase Local Government Area and Plateau State in general to cooperate fully with security personnel by providing credible and actionable intelligence to support military operations.

Security experts have consistently stressed that effective collaboration between local communities and security agencies remains critical to combating banditry and other security threats in vulnerable areas.

He expressed optimism that the reinforcement of troops would lead to improved security in Plateau State and contribute to the gradual restoration of peace and normalcy across the affected communities.

Nothing will come out of this fake deployment, let them keep deceiving you. The ugly truth is your useless leaders have lost control of the security situation in this country and it will only get worse, no matter of deployment of special or unspecial forces will tackle a problem with no military situation but could have been nipped in the bud or minimized if the country was well governed and your leaders over the years have not been self serving criminals.
