So why trying to force them when you know there's no difference. Infact no need for election because Tinubu will still find way to win. It is a waste of our money. What do you think?
INEC should share the money and give me my share.

I remember that old song. One step forward two steps backward ina Babylon! In 2019 we were told everything worked a treat. Yakubu repeated the lie in 2023 to justify the billions he collected. Now they're walking all those claims back. In both 2019 and 2023 the glitch happened after the fact. Now they're frontloading the glitch, enshrining it in the law before it ever happens.

Network or not, transfer or transmission Tinubu will retain his seat in 2027. All these are just noise pollution.
Well. you are not GOD because if GOD decide to remove Tinubu, no amount of rigging will save him, i only pity the hungry data boys who will lose their data jobs immediately after the election grin grin

no way, ince bitten twice shy. We are wiser ooh
Re: Senate Passes E-transmission Of Results with 'clause' by Goke7: 3:33pm On Feb 10
So all the noise and protest were waste of time

This is nothing different from what we already have currently

INEC is just acting funny.
You have a choice, come out and say only electronically, instead they are trying to set the politicians up.

It is your decision to decide since you are sure your BVAS can keep results even during downtime failure. The next protest should be at INEC HQs if they want results 😂
Naija never ready o, the Supreme Court judgement on 2023 that defeated complaints about transmission of election results not mandatory suppose be the bedrock of this argument!

Nothing has been achieved

They'll still find an excuse to rig the election.

900 million Indians vote electronically and we are still talking about transmission failure
Grown old men going around in circles because of their evil intentions to subvert the will of the nigerian masses.

”We assure INEC of our full support towards using electronic voting in 2015. We also appeal to all other political parties, Civil Society Organizations and indeed all Nigerians to join us in pushing for a system that will eliminate the role of thugs and sideline vote thieves during our elections, in addition to making our elections free, fair and credible.

"...While electronic voting is not a magic wand, it is the surest way yet for Nigeria to join the league of countries that have wiped out electoral fraud, which is the worst form of corruption.

It is also the best way to hand over Nigeria’s elections back to Nigerians, instead of having the judiciary determine who wins what contest....."

https://thenationonlineng.net/acn-wants-electronic-voting-in-2015/

https://www.nairaland.com/8615226/throwback-2015-when-tinubus-acn

They should be reminded that they once advocated for it. Now they want to dodge it @all cost when it will cost them their structure of electoral criminality. The world have gone beyond this rhetorics.
How can electronic voting be the surest way when over 12 million hackers were trying to disrupt the system last time?
Re: Senate Passes E-transmission Of Results with 'clause' by Hedonisco: 3:40pm On Feb 10
This is unacceptable. This is not how to draft a law. There can be no loopholes or excuses, expecially in a highly useless and corrupt society like Nigeria. If these dolts are not being mischievous, it is not rocket science to draft a simple law like this in very simple language:

"Electronic transmission of polling-unit results shall be mandatory, without exception or qualification, and no manual or paper-based transmission shall be permitted under any circumstance.

In the event of transmission failure, results shall remain pending and undeclared until successful electronic transmission is completed. Failure to transmit shall not authorize manual substitution."

They will claim there is network failure.................
i dont know why tinubu is always afraid of free and fair elections
Looking at his records it's simply because the old man has really never done anything in his entire life without engaging in fraudulent activities.

This doesn't make sense at all

With bivas transmission doesn't require network, once transmitted it locks and delivers to the server once there is network

And when the server is hacked, what next?
Re: Senate Passes E-transmission Of Results with 'clause' by GentleRay: 3:47pm On Feb 10
Imagine stupid talk. INEC should deploy starlink in areas where no network after all there are collecting Tillions of naira to conduct elections.

So, what was the brouhaha all the while meant to serve?

It has turned out that the opposition was merely embarking on a motion without movement.

A pure academic exercise and a sheer waste of valuable time shouting "real-time", "real-time" transmission of votes and election results or nothing.

This is what one has been explaining all the while.

Electronic transmission = yes!

Real-time transmission = no!

All the noise has turned out a storm in a teacup!

Don’t get your hopes too high! This was the same way they lulled you into a false sense of security in the run-up to the 2019 elections! Then naive Nigerians, who innocently assumed results will be uploaded to a secure server, went out to party on the streets like it’s 1999, only to have a rude awakening when the rug was pulled from beneath their feet by the so called supreme court that declared INEC were under no obligation to transmit the results via IREV or whatever it’s called!
You are very much on point.
I don't know if one should give up on this country that APC have destroyed.

First Nigeria president to secure 25% in every state of the country.
I hope you have gas and food in your house.
Re: Senate Passes E-transmission Of Results with 'clause' by holybabayo(m): 4:00pm On Feb 10
Real time transmission of results is what we wanted. Not transmission after the form EC8A is signed. That is still very manual and opened to manipulations.

Eniitankorede:
And when the server is hacked, what next?
Hacked by who, hacked for who's benefit

So the inec not ready for the election

We are talking about transparency and accountability and honesty, to stop the kind of technicality the supreme Court judgement relied on for verdict

You are being 5tupid

Why don't banks stop using technology because of hack

You people are just satanic

They dare not accept this! Aah... Bunch of theives?

Dey play...

I've already accepted my fate as already being in hell. Maybe I'll be free when I die if I can't afford to leave this nightmare of a country.

We will command telecommunications companies to be switching on and off network like NEPA in the stronghold of rigging of the opposition like South East. Na that time una no go get any result at all

Re: Senate Passes E-transmission Of Results with 'clause' by obailala(m): 4:19pm On Feb 10
Still not good enough and definitely not what Nigerians need!

The current provision still gives desperate politicians a very well lubricated loophole to bypass the e-transmission of results.

On election day I'm sure 90% of the country's polling units would return the same excuse - no network.

Akpakomiza2:

If I send a message on Whatsapp, even if there's no network on my phone, the message registers on the system as being sent and whenever network returns to the phone, the message will be delivered.

The most important point here is that it registers on the system as being uploaded at a certain timestamp and there should be no option to resend or alter the uploaded result at a later time or date.

Mr, how can you transmit something over a distance to a server without network?
What if the network doesn't come in on time?
Ask Jamb how they conduct CBT examination across Nigeria.
