if there is a breakdown the elections are paused untill the person within inec responsible for the sabotage is found arrested and the sabotaged contained before the collation can continue... But any sane organization would put checks in the systems to prevent this kind of sabotage...
Lol you only know there is a breakdown only after election is complete and you attempt to upload the result.

So you mean at that point, the INEC agent should keep the result sheet with him and take it home until the server is up? Or you mean everybody stay there till the next day and not deliver the ballot paper and result sheet?

You guys making laws that is impossible to follow

You cannot make a law that is impossible to follow. The law recognize manual simply because you are using manual method. If you’re still saying if X fail, fall back to Y. Then you can’t make a law that says only X.

INEC are not notorious for server glitches. Most of the off cycle state governorship election usually have like 90%+ of the result posted on Election Day itself.

Nigeria politicians these days just buy votes. Most people are still stuck in the old days of ballot snatching which we already passed. They buy votes then in areas where other parties don’t have agents, they write numbers.

INEC itself as a body is responsible for less than 10% of malpractices, most are done by politicians, security forces, and everyday people.

I agree they should be audited by independent bodies, but so far it’s human being doing it, they are prone to biases.
In 2015 and 2019, the law recognised manual and electronic accreditation. In 2023, it was totally expunged. That's progress! The same thing should apply to manual submission - the law should jettison it because we are no longer living in the 13th Century.

As for vote-buying, this is not the issue at hand. Senators didn't criminalize vote-buying and Nigerians kept quiet. That issue will be revisited before 2031.

If countries like America with over 300 million people can have an election without server glitches, why can't Nigeria? INEC budgets millions of dollars for this election. We shouldn't be having glitches.

Great. Now, let's see the excuse the sore losers will come up with after losing the 2027 presidential election. Let's see what the twin rogue of Atiku and Obi who both claimed victory in an election they both lost will come up with now.
Why do you sound like you live on Mars?

Wouldn't the reforms people are clamouring not benefit you as a Nigerian?

I disdain it when we bury our minds into politics and not thinking about the future generations.
In 100 years time, most us Wouldn't be here and what would speak is the decisions we make today.

That's great.
Let's see what excuse sore losers will give for their loss in 2027.
They win elections in their dreams and on SM.
We are good to go !
Viva Nigeria !

Now they will know that Jagaban is not their mate but way above their league.
The master strategist who plays politics like a Chess game.
He already had his victory sewn up more than a year before the election.
He has assured his people he intends to leave many good things to his legacy - a far better Nigeria than ever expected in the short time, the most credible election ever recorded in Nigeria and the highest victory margin ever.

Bruv, no difference in what Akpabio said last week.

Where it can’t be done electronically, it should be transmitted manually, na em opposition start to shout, only e transmission we want.
That is not absolutely correct. There is a big difference. The Presiding officer and party agents after appending their signatures can only opt for manual transmission when there's NO network for electronic transmission.

Mind you, it is still going to be harmonize by both legislative Chambers.

Nothing has changed, just different grammar, right from the get go, it has been said the discretion lays with Eyeneck, if u cannot transmit electronically, do it manually.

The Obidient wailers were screaming e transmission or nothing, clowns that had no idea what they were implying.
Re: Senate Adopts Electronic And Manual Mode Of Transmission Of Election Results by DeShineShine(m): 3:15pm On Feb 10
When some people think, they always think they are the only ones with brains. Complete electronic transmission of results can never be achieved in this country. It is good that the senators are not cowed to threats from the association of disgruntled politicians. The best approval is for both manual and electronic transmission, with that there will be assurance for those areas where there is no electricity and network.

America have lot of issues which is why Trump keep saying election was rigged. Except maybe you are not current with realities. Till today he still keep saying they tampered with server an the results were wrong.

BVAS accreditation was successful because BVAS itself is an electronic device and they can preload biometrics data onto it and it will still validate voters whether you have network or not.

You are doing manual voting on paper, you cannot have 100% electronic transmission when it’s a manual system. You still need human beings to snap that result and record.

If you need electronic transmission that is mandatory, then ensure your voting machines are electronic too. Like that, you don’t need any middleman. Vote & it transmits automatically.

I don't think what I wrote is what Akpabio said.

Saying generally that both manual and electronic will be used is different from specifically saying electronic MUST be used for places with network.

Akpabio made a 'wayo' statement.

Nonsense! Your drug law pay masters perfected their rigging plan. Which one is adopting transmission and manual giving Supreme Court opportunity for their usual abracadabra. Also, giving the riggers INEC officials windows for their magic. If they wanr free and fair election, it should be transmission and real time. Without real time, Rivers result may be transmitted after INEC officials must have finished eaten Amala and Whisky in W*ke's house.
