Not true. Bitcoin and all other crypto with little excerption to Monero are very traceable. Abeg no go do wetin no good with crypto with the mind you cant be traced or tracked. Even Monero as difficult as it is to track, can also be tracked too.

They sent it to those with wallets domiciled in the Exchange. If the customers move it outside the exchange, they can't do anything about it, internally. By the way, powerful governments can still track wallets and transactions. And, eventually , when you decide to cash out through a centralized exchange, they can trace the money to you. Because exchanges are expected to do KYC.

Of course it has be fake news, this exchange is not one of the largest holders of Bitcoin,so no way they have 600k bitcoins talk less of mistakenly sending it.

Bithumb crypto exchange which is based on Japan was running a promotion where 600 users would win prizes ranging from $1 to $10 each. But they somehow accidentally sent 1000 bitcoins to each person.

Interestingly, they never realized the mistake for 35 minutes. And some of the users were able to sell over $150million worth of Bitcoin.
Only 99.7% of the money was recovered. About $150 million was lost.
