A white Mercedes-Benz C300, 2010 model, with registration number ABUJA BWR-761BU** and chassis number **WDDGF8BB2BR133373, was stolen from where it was parked in Aguleri, Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State.

According to the owner, he had parked the car at a hotel where he was lodged. Suddenly, he could not find the car keys despite searching thoroughly. He contacted friends who had visited his room, but none admitted to having seen the keys.

The car owner then informed the hotel's security personnel that he could not locate the keys and would need to stay an extra day to process a replacement so he could drive home. He also asked the security team to alert him immediately if anyone attempted to open or tamper with the vehicle.

While the worried owner was upstairs, the hotel receptionist knocked on his door to inform him that someone had driven the car away.

When questioned by the hotel owner and the car owner, the security man on duty explained that he had approached to identify the person opening the car, but the suspect sped off at high speed with the vehicle before he could intervene.

They later reported the incident at the nearest police station after local vigilantes failed to respond to distress calls.

Remove which tyres or battery. Shey na everybody be mechanic. Ogbeni.....how I go dey drive c300 into an hotel,that has security and parking space,then I'd now be thinking of removing battery or tyres. Shey na thumb print be him door. How owner wan open door when keys can't be found.

The first person made a point... he should have removed one tire...and support it with jack...it does not hv to b the car's jack and spanner since its gonna be locked inside the trunk... vulcanizer could hv done it for him with the vulcanizers jack and spanner

The only place I wouldn't blame the security much is, if the hotel is not fenced or gated. But if it's, how will the person have drove away like that. Who open gate for him?

Suddenly couldn't find his car keys....


It's likely the man was high and loose guard his keys.

The criminal is among the friends that visited him in that hotels, the criminal friend knows everything about that car including the security in that car if any .
