Yes, I think she should put like 120k in a balanced fund and 80k in equity. If red comes, she might not handle it well. Anyway, Mama Equity wan fire.. Jayce242: |

LoriHamo:Mama, I study the way you write, you will likely be a jovial person in real life. You always add a touch of humor in everything you try to get across, what a pure heart. Well done and happy investing, Abasi mi mbok |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Beeron: 7:20pm On Feb 11 |
LoriHamo:please in as much as Equity investment is sweet now. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. The economy moves in seesaw pattern with MMF VS Equity/Bond, so it will be smart to plant your seed everywhere. Don't uproot from one completely to plant in a new one rather plant everywhere, in due time, you will enjoy the dividend/fruit from all investment. |

Okay boss.....I want a little growth prospect.... Like 20% of ALL my funds to be in equity and dance with the seasons..... I am NOT leaving mmf entirely..... imagine 2k on top 5M every day.....na savings account pro-max be that o o o Hahahahaha..... All these money I have invested is just around 600k....the gtbank own is my daughter's ( she has like more than 10 years to let the funds weather the storms).... I intend removing 1M from the 5M in mmf to try Stanbic equity and Imaan funds.... What do you think boss? Please note that I have NO immediate need for the money for now and even in more than 2 years time Thanks for your concerns....it's well appreciated..... Beeron: |

| Re: Equity Investment. by Beeron: 8:41pm On Feb 11 |
LoriHamo:I really don't have a clear picture of your daughter's fund but let's go with the 5 million plus 10 years duration. How would I invest that 5 million? 2 million goes to MMF (To compound over time regardless of rate + emergency fund) 2 Million goes to Equity fund (sure growth in that 10years) 1 million goes to Bond heavy investment like Afrivest NIDF via cowrywise or invest with Afrivest directly. With this structure — Imagine the returns after 10 years. Keep in mind, this will be a different setup if we not investing for 10 years duration. My assumption for this set up is based on the fact that you investing 5 million for your daughter for 10 years. |

| Re: Equity Investment. by Niiade(m): 8:48pm On Feb 11 |
LoriHamo:I’m not sure if you want my advice, but depending on your investment style, conservative, balanced, or aggressive. I’d assume you’re more on the balanced side. In that case, you could consider adding new funds gradually into equities and balanced funds only and stop investing into your MMF. Since prices are going up (and can also come down), there’s no need to rush a large amount of capital into the trend. Instead, invest enough to take advantage of market swings without overexposing yourself. Rather than liquidating 1m from your MMF, you could simply move the monthly interest into the equity market and keep topping up gradually. I know this is unsolicited advice, so abeg no vex for your boy. Thanks. |

Like i said yesterday that the balanced fund is like a hidden gem lot's of investor's are yet to discover, I will as well update the group on the performance of the equity fund and the balanced fund with screenshot, The Equity fund with #1,013,000 invested did 0.72% , that's a return of #7,438 as displayed on the screenshot, while the Balanced fund with #1,008,000 invested did 0.94% thats a return of ₦9,711 as displayed on the screenshot, Then the fixed income alpha fund with ₦1,008,000 invested ,same amount as balanced fund did only 0.07%, that's a return of ₦666, remember we loose ₦5,000 on 10th February from this fund, we are still losing over ₦4,000 from this particular fixed income fund, Disclaimer, this is not an investment advice, only sharing as part of my contribution to those interested in these kind of money market investments, pls do your due diligence and observe ur risk and loss tolerance before investing.

The balanced fund has bonds in it, so if bonds make a profit on that day, you will see more profit than the normal equity; however, if the market is really bullish, equity pays more. Nevertheless, it's wise to do both for a balanced portfolio. ezegold4we: |
