the treaty they'll sign as the victorious party will include the us lifting sanctions
and the us as the losing party will still demand that if they're lifting sanctions then at least some of the energy trade must go through their financial system

let me repeat
that will be the binding treaty after the war

same thing in iran
if this imminent war starts
and iran wins after millions die
they'll still demand us lift sanctions
and the us will demand some of their energy trade go through the western financial system

America just finds it hard to compete on a level playing field because in the hinterlands across the north, it is Chinese businessmen who are willing to enter those places to purchase mines. Should they be driven out, many of those mines would become idle, as no one else would buy the mines from the artisanal miners. The same thing happens in Namibia. Again, no one, nor the Chinese, is stopping the Yanks from setting up mining operations anywhere in Northern Nigeria. Simply meet the traditional rulers, become registered, hire translators, hold your money, and you will get what you want.

How hard is this to comprehend?

In fact, my distrust towards the Americans started when I read an official from the embassy berating Chinese investments in the mining industry, whereas only the Chinese were setting up operations, factories and employing the locals. If it is not witchcraft, why would you be against investments which result in job creation in a region with a high unemployment rate? The biggest refining projects aimed at refining the ores and mines are spearheaded by the Chinese. The only Western-run refining operation in the country is the gold refinery in Osun. The rest are Chinese-funded.
