Mtn is in trouble. If people in my location found out, they will dump them . Mtn is busy with the FibreX connection and abandoning their 5g because of greed and money, base on tergeted audience. While airtel is focusing on spreading their 5g coverage across. Which company is smart?

I bought airtel 5G router 2 years ago. But I was disappointed by it speed. No 5g but just 4g and speed was so terrible I couldn't even stream TV. The following week I went to mtn office to get the mtn 5g router yet no 5g in my location with the mtn. But their 4g suppass that of airtel and can stream TV.

I have been using the mtn 1year plan for 2years because their network was better although they treat their customers anyhow. Change of policies and bridge of agreement without consideration. Today I saw airtel 5g on my phone and I decided to test it. Oh my God it beat Mtn hands down over 100x.

My phone is more cooler. And better battery performance. But this mtn that keep draining my battery. You know if signal is poor phone get to heat up and drain battery.
Airtel data is much cheaper and friendly. Only problem with airtel one cannot share their data to other users.

Glo is still sleeping. When will Glo rollout there 5g?

Location matters, Airtel 5G is good in your area doesn't mean they have a wide coverage.
Their most used band(4G) is still struggling in most dense populated places

yes. The reason it's fast now is because people are not using the 5g. Imagine when more and more people start using it. The speed will drop. 5g phones is not that common like 4g. And people are not aware of the 5g speed.

Airtel 4G is useless here. MTN is still the king

And the upload speed is still low

310 mbps is high though
Mine can’t go beyond 20 mbps

I get up to this speed with Starlink sometimes up to 400mbps+ it still amazes me how a satellite internet can go that fast

if fast site is not accurate while you can't get to 310mbps? I just test it with my area plan. 500naita.

Like I stated clearly in the sentence

This is the better time to buy the 5g router...it's comparatively cheaper now, and since the network speed is great over there, it's a good time to port to another network.

350mbps is too low for 5G, i get up to 700mbps with mtn 5G overhere.

It all depends on location. I was averaging 600+ Mbps on MTN in the Ogba area when I was there last November.

Update on the airtel network.

It's so terrible on whatapp audio call. Dispite with the fast.com high mbps review.

How would video call be? I just imagine. Because the phone keep heating up and lags, braking during voice call. Sometimes disconnected. I had to switch to mtn for stability.

It might be the poor latency uploads speed.

Look like mtn is still far better
