Singer bitten to death by snake in Abuja laid to rest

The remains of Late singer Ifunanya Nwangene has been buried in her hometown in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu state today February 14..

Ms Nwangene was confirmed dead at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abuja, after she was bitten by a snake at her home on January 31, 2026.

Ifunanya who was gaining popularity with her amazing voice, reportedly passed away after visiting two hospitals including the FMC and was told they had no anti-venom. Her tragic death triggered an outpouring of shock, tributes, and condolences from fans and colleagues across social media platforms.

She was 26 years old.

May her soul rest in peace, Amen.

Till now, no hospital has the anti-venom to prevent such from repeating. Minister for health won't be bothered, rather na city boy 2027 be their headache

You guys have refused to let this misleading claims of no Anti venom end.I watched videos even from close friends who where present when anti venom was administered to her.Her was particularly painful and it has nothing to do with supposed lack of anti venom.

What kind of country is this please huh

An oil-producing nation with lots of other resources yet government has failed woefully to fix our healthcare sector! Our hospitals lacked common anti snake venom to help this young and beautiful soul live!

What sort of anti venom was administered to her and in what state was the supposed anti venom? Or perhaps they just administered an expired and weakened substance to her and claimed she was given anti venom? And why did the previous hospitals she went to not have the said anti venom huh

Does it not boil down to the same thing we are saying?
Something as important as polyvalent anti snake venoms shouldn't be out-of-stock in any A/E of any hospital!

Her death was due to lack of urgent and timely care caused by unavailability of polyvalent anti snake venoms in the previous hospitals she ran to for help! The venom already did irreversible damages to her system before the supposed anti venom was administered!

Rest In Peace girl only God knows the dark forces that made a snake climb to ur bed and bit you on the wrist while sleeping, it’s surely not normal there are serious elements of witchcraft there, we live in a really dark and mysterious world
