Nice video to watch, love to see more of this type of training and investment in airborne QRF assets.
Hope the government invests more in this area, and I see the presence of foreign trainers

As our Army boys would say ' Something like that!' well done boys keep it up. With more choppers in the fight the terrorists would get less and less warning of the strike, giving them very little time to run away and salvage their scarce and valuable weapons, ammunition and supplies.

In the absence of choppers, the tactic of approaching in vehicles to the general vicinity say 5-6km from the target and then engaging them on foot will also achieve improved element of surprise.

Kudos to the boys!

PROFORCE NEEDS TO FIND A WAY OF UP-SCALING ITS PRODUCTION LINE, WHY WOULD THE GOVERNMENT CHOOSE TO BUY FOREIGN ARMORED/MRAP VAHICLES WHEN WE HAVE INDEGENEOUS COMPANY PRODUCING SIMILAR VEHICLES.
FOR ME ITS A TOTAL WASTE OF FOREX
My brother I was about to say exactly this o, but i say make i keep quiet make e no be like say I too dey complain.
We should be improving our local MRAP and Light Combat Vehicle Designs instead of buying foreign versions. Any foreign vehicles we buy now should be just to enable us see new concepts to copy and improve upon.

ISWAP reports to have dismantled a spy network "recently mobilized by the Nigerian army", and executed 22 of its members in various "security operations" in Borno State, northeast Nigeria.

The terrorists captured and executed 17 of them near Gajiram and five others near Abadam, the informants were reportedly tasked with monitoring the movement of ISWAP fighters and cutting off trees, which provide cover for the militants against aerial reconnaissance.

The informants received monthly payments from the army, and ISWAP state that they monitored the forming of this network early on and warned them against cooperating with the government.

ISWAP says that the Nigerian army has been intensifying the recruitment of spies in an attempt to prevent attacks against military camps and patrols

NA should make harassing attacks. Showing those devils that touching anything working for NA will be met with fire and blood can forestall some of these things.

NAF PREPARES PILOTS FOR INCOMING ADVANCED PLATFORMS, HAILS PRESIDENT TINUBU

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken a major step in preparing its personnel for the operation of incoming modern and advanced aircraft, as the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, on 13 February 2026 commissioned key infrastructural projects at NAF Base Kaduna. During the ceremony, the CAS said the developments are critical to readying the next generation of pilots who will operate the Service’s incoming platforms. “In this regard, the completion of the Student Pilots’ Quarters is a major step in preparing pilots who will operate modern advanced aircraft, enabling the projection of smart and decisive airpower to eliminate terrorist threats while safeguarding our people,” he said, describing the project as a deliberate investment in operational readiness and national security.

Air Marshal Aneke emphasised that the commissioning goes beyond infrastructure. “My mission here is not just about buildings but about fulfilling my command philosophy, to enhance and sustain a highly motivated, professional, and mission-ready force capable of delivering decisive airpower effects in synergy with surface forces for the realisation of national security objectives,” he stated. The CAS expressed profound appreciation to the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his unwavering commitment to national security. “We salute President Tinubu for his unwavering support to national security, as demonstrated by his bilateral engagement with the Government of the Republic of Türkiye for defence equipment, including the acquisition of advanced helicopters and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles for the Nigerian Air Force,” he added. He further disclosed that strategic engagements in the United States, Italy, and Türkiye are already yielding results, with the fast-tracked procurement of 24 M-346 Fighter Ground Attack Aircraft, 12 AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters, and 10 AW-109 Trekker helicopters aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness across the full spectrum of air operations.

The infrastructure projects commissioned include six blocks of 12 one-bedroom Student Pilots’ Quarters, a block of six three-bedroom flats initiated by the Ministry of Defence and completed by the NAF, and a block of 30 one-bedroom studio apartments for airmen and airwomen of the Military Training Centre. The CAS urged personnel to maintain the highest standards of discipline and professionalism. “Use these structures with care and a deep sense of responsibility. Let them reflect a strong culture of maintenance and pride, ensuring they remain a source of comfort and dignity for current and future occupants,” he said. He appreciated the former CAS, Air Marshal HB Abubakar, for the foresight in initiating the project, commended the Logistics Branch, the Air Officer Commanding, and contractors for timely delivery, and acknowledged the Federal Government and the leadership of the National Assembly for enabling the fiscal releases that made the developments possible. Reaffirming the Service’s commitment to the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, he pledged continued dedication to a safe, secure, and prosperous Nigeria. In his welcome remarks, the Air Officer Commanding, Air Training Command, Air Vice Marshal EP Efanga, described the facilities as a milestone in strengthening operational readiness and personnel welfare, noting that they will play a vital role in preparing pilots to operate the advanced platforms that will shape the future of the Nigerian Air Force.

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, on 13 February 2026 commissioned newly completed officers’ quarters at Karmo, Abuja, reinforcing the Nigerian Air Force’s (NAF) commitment to personnel welfare and enhanced operational readiness. The housing project comprises two blocks of three-bedroom flats, one block of 14 two-bedroom flats, two blocks of 12 one-bedroom flats, one block of six five-bedroom flats, and a block of 30 single studio apartments. The quarters was named in honour of former Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, in recognition of his contributions to the growth and transformation of the Service. Additionally, a newly constructed unit of 18 one-bedroom apartment as well as remodelled and renovated units of 6 four-bedroom airmen’s quarters were also commissioned at Yawuri.

Speaking at the ceremony, Air Marshal Aneke described the development as a strategic investment in human capital. He noted that providing quality accommodation for personnel and their families creates a stable and conducive environment that strengthens morale, focus, and professional performance. “These officers’ and airmen/airwomen quarters are more than structures; they symbolise the resilience, discipline, and shared commitment that define the Nigerian Air Force,” he stated.

The CAS commended the engineers, contractors, and NAF personnel whose teamwork and dedication ensured the successful completion of the project. He urged personnel to remain steadfast and continue supporting ongoing efforts to restore peace and security across the country. TROOPS OF OPERATION HADIN KAI SUSTAIN OFFENSIVE PRESSURE, NEUTRALISE TERRORISTS, RECOVER ARMS AND LOGISTICS ITEMS
Troops of Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), have continued to sustain offensive operations across the theatre under Operation DESERT SANITY V, recording significant operational successes.
In Sector 2, troops, in conjunction with the Civilian Joint Task Force, successfully neutralised scores of terrorists during a night operation around Muktum and Ngirbuwa villages. Two AK-47 rifles, three motorcycles, and several mobile phones were recovered. Further exploitation along the terrorists’ withdrawal route revealed drag marks and a shallow grave, indicating additional enemy casualties.
Similarly, troops of Sector 1, while conducting operations along the Bulayobe–Darel Jamel axis, engaged fleeing terrorists attempting to cross the Main Supply Route. The criminals fled in disarray, abandoning two sacks containing assorted logistics items suspected to be meant for terrorist elements.
The general security situation across the theatre remains calm but unpredictable. However, troops’ morale and fighting efficiency remain high as they continue to dominate their areas of responsibility and frustrate terrorist activities.
Headquarters OPHK reassures the public of its unwavering commitment to sustaining pressure on Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists until lasting peace and economic stability are fully restored in the North East region.

TROOPS OF OPERATION HADIN KAI HOLD GROUND, THWART MULTIPLE TERRORIST ATTACKS IN PULKA, MANDARAGIRAU, BORNO STATE

Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have demonstrated exceptional courage and operational superiority by decisively thwarted coordinated terrorist attacks in Pulka and Mandaragirau,in Borno State. In determined assaults launched late on 14 February 2026, terrorists sought to overrun defensive positions in both locations. However, through the battle disciplined , firepower, tactical foresight, and steadfast resolve, troops held their ground, inflicted heavy losses on the attackers, and reaffirmed OPHK’s dominance across the theatre.

Also, at the same night, a large group of suspected BHT/ ISWAP terrorists advanced from the Sambisa Forest axis and launched a fierce attack on troops of Sector 1 in Pulka. In a well-coordinated response, troops engaged the terrorists in an intense firefight, successfully containing and reversing the assault. Although a section of the perimeter was briefly breached leading to the destruction of some combat enablers and accommodation. Impressively, swift reinforcement with overwhelming firepower from 26 Brigade forced the terrorists to retreat in disarray towards the Sambisa axis. Credible intelligence indicates that the terrorists suffered severe casualties, including a senior commander identified as Abou Aisha who sustained a critical gunshot injury to the neck leading to his death alongside significant losses of weapons and equipment There was no single human casualty to troops during the attack on Pulka.

In a related development, troops of Sector 2 at Mandaragirau came under a coordinated multi-pronged attack by ISWAP terrorists mounted on gun trucks and motorcycles. Anticipating such action, troops had tactically emplaced combat teams that decisively engaged the terrorists.Interestingly , the attack was successfully thwarted after a fierce exchange without any breach to the defence of the location. Regrettably, some gallant personnel and Civilian Joint Task Force members paid the supreme price in the defence of their location, while few soldiers sustained injuries and were immediately evacuated by Air Component of OPHK and the Nigerian Army Aviation platforms. Their sacrifice embodies the highest traditions of service, courage, and commitment to the defence of Nigeria.

Follow-up exploitation along the Kimba axis revealed blood trails, shallow graves and abandoned items, while eyewitness accounts confirmed the evacuation of multiple terrorist casualties towards Kimba, further underscoring the scale of enemy losses. The Military High Command commended the bravery, utmost professionalism and fighting spirit of the troops, noting that these failed attacks reflect the growing desperation of terrorist elements under sustained operational pressure. OPHK remains resolute in its mandate to dismantle terrorist networks, safeguard communities, and restore lasting peace and economic stability across the North East region.

SUPER TUCANOS ROAR IN DEFENCE OF THE NATION’S SKIES

From the moment the A-29 Super Tucano aircraft entered the Nigerian Air Force inventory, they ushered in a new era of precision air warfare and intelligence-driven operations. Designed for modern asymmetric threats, the aircraft rapidly transitioned into operational dominance, integrating seamlessly into ongoing counter-insurgency campaigns. Their advanced sensors, endurance, and precision strike capability enable crews to pursue threats across difficult terrain, turning the skies into a decisive advantage for friendly forces. What began as a strategic acquisition quickly evolved into a force multiplier, redefining the projection of airpower in defence of national security.

In sustained operations, the Super Tucanos have established an empirical record of success, disrupting terrorist networks, neutralizing hostile enclaves, and denying insurgents the freedom to regroup. Persistent surveillance and rapid strike cycles convert intelligence into immediate action, sustaining a tempo that overwhelms adversaries. Each mission reflects calculated precision: coordinated engagements that protect civilians, reinforce ground offensives, and steadily restore stability to affected communities. Beyond battlefield metrics lies a deeper impact, renewed public confidence inspired by the visible and reassuring presence of airpower overhead.

The Super Tucano fleet represents more than a current capability; it is a cornerstone of the Nigerian Air Force’s smart projection of future airpower. As tactics evolve and technology advances, the aircraft remains central to a doctrine built on speed, accuracy, and intelligence-led engagement. Their continued deployment signals a firm commitment to safer communities, secure airspace, and a proactive defence posture that deters emerging threats before they mature. Under the leadership vision of the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, the Super Tucanos stand not only as instruments of combat, but as guardians of stability and enduring symbols of Nigeria’s resolve to secure its skies.
