If we did invent anything, we've certainly done a poor job of maintaining it. IMO countries like Nigeria should enter a mentor/mentee relationship (basically apprenticeship) with one developed nation, and be given 'freedom' after 20-50 years when institutions, etc have been appreciably established. Sure there'll be some abuse, but in the end I believe we will be the better for it.

This doesn't hold true. Egypt that is one of the earliest sight of major civilization in the world do not rank in top 10 or maybe top 20 most civilised nations today. Ethiopia was never colonized yet they struggle with tech and civilization.

China, US, Japan, and many other European and Asian countries have had their fair share of colonization and or bout of wars that many African nations would never recover from if we were the recipient of those disasters.

Something is inherently wrong with African minds and one of them is playing victim instead of picking ourselves up and face our reality.

I pray we find healing, the right leaders and mindset to move forward
