Defence HQ Nigeria @DHQNigeria

NIGERIA - US DEFENCE COOPERATION: US MILITARY TRAINERS ARRIVE NIGERIA TO SUPPORT NIGERIAN ARMED FORCES

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) wishes to announce the arrival of about 100 United States military personnel and associated equipment at Bauchi Airfield.

The deployment forms part of the deliberation during a working group engagement by Nigerian delegation and it's US counterpart. The arrival is planned and deliberate following a formal request by the Federal Government of Nigeria to the US government to support a clearly defined military training requirement, technical support and intelligence sharing with the members of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

The collaboration will provide access to specialized technical capabilities aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s ability to deter terrorists threats and enhance the protection of vulnerable communities across the country.

The US personnel are technical specialists serving strictly in an advisory and training capacity. They are not combat forces. All training activities will be conducted under the authority, direction and control of the Nigerian Government and in close coordination with the Nigerian Armed Forces.

Nigerian troops, alongside these advisers, will commence a series of joint training engagements and intelligence focused cooperation initiatives. These activities are designed to enhance the capacity of Nigerian troops to effectively identify and neutralize extremist terrorist groups seeking to destabilize the nation.
The Armed Forces of Nigeria remain fully committed to degrading and defeating terrorist organizations that threaten the country’s sovereignty, national security and the safety of its citizens.

The DHQ assures Nigerians of continued transparency and the provision of clear, accurate and timely information regarding the military cooperation efforts.

Meanwhile, the mischievousness of some of the opposition supporters we have in Nigeria is no longer making sense.

Imagine the same people wanting USA army to come to Nigeria badly but with different aims not about what they alleged, when that failed, they are now shifting narration questioning the USA presence in Nigeria

How mischievous, manipulative can some of them be with the attached screenshot below.

The person even created a thread to taunt me when I said I would be temporarily withdraw my support for president Tinubu because of insecurity

We knew they had no good intentions that's why we have been monitoring all their movements

Putindbutt and his brothers will say US are already stealing their resources… resources that him and his goons are getting crumbs from and in most cases none….

He would’ve found himself on the street with his paymaster if Jonathan is still the president with the current situation in Nigeria… yet hypocrisy is making him think that Tinubu is the best thing after a wet pucci
Re: US Military Trainers Arrive Nigeria - Defence Headquarters by JASONjnr(m): 5:52am On Feb 17
Telling you that this terrorism destabilization involvement of the US is the reason the North isn't happy with this current government.

But as usual, there MUST be peace in this country.

Tinubu will be remembered for a lot of things....

My only happiness is that, nobody can make him lose this election except God because even God wants him to finish his good deeds .....

This your comment doesn't make any sense.
You are your fellow APC and religious fanatics were crying up and down about sovereignty when POTUS said he's come with "Guns Ablazing"

You were also quick to criticise Peter Obi when he said that he'll gladly accept US assistance in combating terrorism by your fellow desert warriors. Infact Bayo Onanuga called out Nigerians against Peter Obi because of that. He said it is treason to say so.

Today what do we see!

APC doesn't have anything to offer.

The US military base is coming in bit by bit. They will surely have it for peace to return in Nigeria.

Shame on APC. Shame on terrorists sympathisers. Shame on Gumi. Shame on that other one in Sokoto....Satan.

You don't need to tell us everything, act like Mossad, clandestinely and secretly, just destroy the terrorists and their jihadists kidnappers and sponsors.

Working in secret is good, just do the job, don't admit everything, this uncertainty and confusion spooks the enemy.

Re: US Military Trainers Arrive Nigeria - Defence Headquarters by Dogalmighty17: 6:53am On Feb 17
This is not the first time US has sent military trainers to Nigeria. The question is, is our military willing to effectively practice what they've been trained on?
Several reports exist online where US military trainers expressed terrible shock at the absolute lack of professionalism displayed by trainee officers and troops. How equipment provided were left to rot under the sun without utilisation.

In 2014, then president Jonathan outrightly sabotaged the training arrangement Nigeria secured with the US leading the US to withdraw its officers. Don't just take my word for it, read up.

Let's hope this is not more of the same.

When I look at the comments on follow Nigerians I just shake my head.

We still have a long way to go.

With the open informations we have now black still think anybody is coming to help them and they forgot the world no 1 sponsor of terrorism.

USA only care about they interest nothing more they don’t care if half of Nigeria dies or Christians being killed anywhere in the world.

Only what will benefit them.

After from having planes to call for backup they are not better than any military in the world that why they invested billions on planes because they can’t fight conventional war .

But blacks still think they will come to Nigeria to help them.

I asked my brother few days ago about the USA army in Nigeria and he said they are not coming to do anything or teach them what they already know said they have they motive and it will be clear soon.

British soldiers are in Nigeria since last year nothing have change and even with the Americans soldiers nothing will still change.
