Between the NLC And Power Sector: Hahaha 😂🤣, So the NLC-just de wake up - ok, Since elections are nearing and next year, abi? 1-Where were they when this Light 🕯️🚨- Power Sector -were Sold by PDP - GEJ to their Members, instead of Real INVESTORS,with Adequate Experiences? e.g General Electric 💡 ⚡ USA - were Chased Away. 2-Where were NLC,then, since NIGERIA and NIGERIANS were plunged into Total Darkness and till today- President TINUBU Govt- have been paying NBillions - for Debts NIGERIANS Did Not Consume? 3-Were NLC No Longer Collecting -Dues from their Energy/ Power Sector Members? 4•The NLC- have eaten Dodo,Enu Won Ti Ko Ododo( they have swallowed a bait,so Truth is far away from them) . •This Sector Determines All Other Sectors Of The Economy and the Battle Should Have Been Fought Decades Ago! For Example - our Tailors, Welders, etc, all Small Scale Works are attached to Light to Function. •WITHOUT LIGHT, NO INDUSTRIALIZATION ANYWHERE AND ANY COUNTRY THAT CAN NOT GUARANTEE A REGULAR LIGHT 24/7 LIGHT- SHOULD NOT EXIST ,BUT IS A VILLAGE ! For All these Breakdowns of National Grid is a Symphony Instrument For Corruption -Not to Develop Nigeria. Just Too Bad Leaders,we have been Parading. |

richiemcgold:Yet you continue to push for his reelection. Someone that said Nigerians should vote him out if he does not give them steady electricity in 4 years. |
| Re: Grid Collapse: NLC Threatens Showdown Over Electricity Crisis by TheStoriesOfMan: 12:03pm On Feb 17 |
nairalanda1:No don't. Keep voting in more bad leaders that will throw crumbs to the populace. Infact I even like it self. Yes Tinubu is a tribalist(by Nigerian and world standards), but as you said, is he the person that will deregulate the power sector where the place he lives is solar electrified? Anybody can't give what he doesn't have na. |

richiemcgold:That is the problem with u Nigerians, always looking 👀 for a scapegoat, u are blaming Tinubu for the shortcomings of others, who is your distribution company? |
| Re: Grid Collapse: NLC Threatens Showdown Over Electricity Crisis by hotseat: 12:05pm On Feb 17 |
The NLC, under Joe Ajaero, got this one right. Just when one hopes that there would be improvement in the power sector, things only get worse. The way to go is to institute a probe into the privatization process of the sector and name those who "bought" them and possibly get them prosecuted for swindling Nigeria/Nigerians. Lest Nigerians forget, this privatization scheme took place when the PDP held sway. Like the NNPCL, the DISCOs and the GENCOs are like familiar spirits of ne'er-do-wells. @hotseat |
| Re: Grid Collapse: NLC Threatens Showdown Over Electricity Crisis by Burob: 12:06pm On Feb 17 |
TheStoriesOfMan:But to the best of my knowledge, the sector is already deregulated since 2013, read what hotseat posted above? Solar energy itself is a form of deregulation from the traditional form of energy consumed in Nigeria. |
| Re: Grid Collapse: NLC Threatens Showdown Over Electricity Crisis by tesseract: 12:08pm On Feb 17 |
First of all, NLC is an empty barrel that's makes a lot of noise. Take them seriously at your own detriment; Toothless dogs. Secondly, bulaba balablu has absolutely zero intentions of fixing the abysmal state of power in the country. Instead he wants to install solar panels in aso rock villa. Nigerians really entered one chance. |

richiemcgold:lol. we can still remember this same tinubu, abi T-pain boasted during the 2023 election campaigns, that if he couldn't provide stable power supply before 2027 elections, that Nigerians should vote him out. now that he had failed Nigerians as regards his promise, I hope Nigerians fuffill their own bargain by voting the T-pain out. |

tesseract:One man fix the energy problem in Nigeria? Quite obvious that I do not know what u are talking about, that is why u do not have electricity, since u Nigerians have refused to use common sense to honestly all hands on, fix the electricity problem affecting u all. |
| Re: Grid Collapse: NLC Threatens Showdown Over Electricity Crisis by TheStoriesOfMan: 12:11pm On Feb 17 |
Burob:Really? So fossil fuel electricity generation is a scam? Besides, how many people can afford solar power? The price will become too expensive if more people key into it. Have the government considered nuclear power supply alternative? They will but no, they prefer to slursh the cash on irrelevanities. And we call ourselves "giant of Afrika"? In this 21st century era of jet-paced development? |
| Re: Grid Collapse: NLC Threatens Showdown Over Electricity Crisis by nairalanda1(m): 12:12pm On Feb 17 |
TheStoriesOfMan:Tinubu is not going to deregulate the power sector because he loves being president more than anything. If he did, it would be a good thing, but he no go win election, so we continue to suffer the effects of bad decision making. Even you self, you don't want a deregulated power sector...which is why you are deflecting by implying i support tinubu (lol..i don't). Electricity is not free. Eventually deregulation is going to happen because this can't go on forever. Whoever is in charge. |
| Re: Grid Collapse: NLC Threatens Showdown Over Electricity Crisis by onyxo76(m): 12:14pm On Feb 17 |
won't yield anything, when FG themselves have gone solar, why should they be bothered about the national grid and power supply, as long as the sun is shining they will enjoy power supply. We are on our own with this power supply issue. |
| Re: Grid Collapse: NLC Threatens Showdown Over Electricity Crisis by Burob: 12:14pm On Feb 17 |
TheStoriesOfMan:The people make up the country, u people in that country are just lazy minded, clueless & lack innovation, always looking 👀 to blame someone else instead of checking yourselves internally, hence in the age of AI, ordinary electricity u Nigerians are struggling with. Even this hypocrite Ajaero is blaming someone else, yet it is the members of his labor union that are the incompetent workers @ the grid. If government says tomorrow they want to privatize the grid & get rid of this redundant workers, it is this same labor union that will go on strike to protest. |

nairalanda1:I use solar. Last November, I recharged my personal prepaid with ₦20000, they bring the light from 1am to 5am(though not always), and I have online hustle to do i.e classes and trading. I still buy fuel ₦5000 to pump water every week. Even the current no dey full. Do I want the deregulation? Yes Is the government interested? No |
| Re: Grid Collapse: NLC Threatens Showdown Over Electricity Crisis by TheStoriesOfMan: 12:24pm On Feb 17 |
Burob:I don't understand what you are saying. I'm struggling to make myself under your comment. So you are saying I should provide light for myself when I pay electricity bill? You are saying that the NLC are clueless in going on a strike to protest? You are saying that the government is suppose to fold hands and do nothing to salvage the situation? You are supporting the government's decision to solarize Aso rock, but the citizens can go to Hades? You are saying it is not the government's responsibility to provide steady 24/7 electricity? Make me understand you. |

Burob:If I call you what you are now, one useless bot will suspend my account but let me leave you to continue wallowing in your delusions. The commander in chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria will rather spend billions in PR and in preparation for 2027 than do any meaningful work in the country. He didn't know he was just one man when he was shouting "emilokan " right? There is responsibility and accountability on the line and you suddenly remember that bat is just one man. Doesn't he know the power he wields? Is he not aware of the authority the office bestowed on him? Is he that useless? If Trump or Putin was president of Nigeria will the power be this bad and they just sit down and look? Bat is not just one man, the power bestowed on him by the office of the president makes him larger and stronger than the entire population of the country. He has refused to fix it because it won't benefit him. And for the nonsense you stated for Nigerians to "use all hands on" to fix the electricity problem in a country where they pay tax simply shows that you are either being a hypocrite or you are genuinely delusional. |

tesseract:Your level of understanding like millions of other Nigerians, is what makes Nigeria a failed society. U cannot give what u don’t have, that is why u people in Nigeria don’t have adequate electricity in the age of the singularity. |
| Re: Grid Collapse: NLC Threatens Showdown Over Electricity Crisis by Gbolarshow: 12:29pm On Feb 17 |
They saw this guy before they made him NLC leader. Very useless, weak and a toothless dog. Some Senators and Executive members will be at a corner now laughing him to a scorn. |

Jagaban once said: By all means. You must have electricity and no more estimated billing. A promise made is a promise kept. If you don't have electricity and i come back after 4years, dont vote for me..... Election remains 12months and we are here talking about grid collapse again... |

The yoruba wide aneemal who bragged to achieve stable electricity in his first two years as President has now moved the Aso rock power grid to solar renewable energy, leaving his hungry chatterboxes in the dark while they keep standing on his ewedu mandate of forgery, thievery and suffocating governance of poverty and insecurity .Our Iragbiji drug lord till 2035!! |

MrEar:anybody voting Tinubu 2027 is purely doing it out of religion or tribal sentiment. this is the worst govt in the history of Nigeria in all round. there is basically nothing he has improved, instead he kuku scatter wetin he meet. The only improvement for 3yrs is bribing governors to join APC. we that use to experience at least 14hours light a day under Buhari, now if you see 5hours a day you go thankGod. and the worst part, we are paying more now for it. |
