OBJ was loved in the South and rightly so, as a Southern candidate. Can Tinubu beat his chest and say the same today? Even the likes of Obi Cubana who tried to market him are facing the repercussions. The SE/SS largely vote in similar patterns. Tinubu only won 4 out of 17 states in the South in 2023 and nothing much has changed, despite the defecting governors. If Tinubu doesn't win the entire South in a landslide, then he will have no pathway to re-election. The North made him President with 5.6m votes.
